it seems the general consensus for this team is between 8-4 and 9-3. I for one am in the 9-3 boat (honestly wouldn’t be surprised at 10)

Assuming we go 9-3 this upcoming year which scenario are you choosing below for our marquee wins?

Option A.

- Win Vs Texas A&M
- Win Vs Clemson
- Win @ NC State

Option B.

- Win @UNC
- Win @FSU
- Win Vs Louisville

Automatic wins:
Vs Miami Ohio
Vs Bethune Cookman
@Temple
Vs Georgia Tech
Vs UVA
@BC

In this scenario whichever option you choose our 3 losses is the Vice Versa. As much as I hate FSU/UNC I think I have to go with Option A…

Option A because wins over A&M and Clemson would significantly increase our national perception, which would boost recruiting and potentially help with conference realignment.

Option B because ***** FSU and option B gets us one more ACC win and a better chance of making the ACCCG

On one hand Option A. gives you an excellent start to the season but a disappointing end since you lose to FSU/Louisville consecutively.

Option B. Defeats Our Arch Rival (as well as win the last 3 games of the year) and beat UNC on the road which is another game that we need to win. And Option B also doesn’t give us any “bad” losses such as Louisville (although I think they’ll be solid this year)

If we do option A, there’s a good chance we could win 1 or 2 in B. Preferably, the semenholes.

For me… this season, beating FSU and UNC in the same season. Shiiiiiiiid, I’d take the L’s to A&M and Clem gladly for that to happen right now. Cap it with a Bowl win and I’m on cloud 9.

If were to beat A&M and Clem but lose to FSU and UNC I’d be so g’**** annoyed. That would be maddening to me.

Side note… I wish UVA was a gimme. We’d be more like to lose to them than NCSt. Just because.

I'd play along, but I'm in the camp that thinks 8-4 is the ceiling.
I don’t think 8-4 the ceiling but vegas has us 7.5 which is the right betting number. A lot goes out way and TVD gets on track I can see 9-3. But 7-5 or 8-4 much more likely

Option A.

As much as I dislike FSU and UNC I want that early season win over TAMU and a win over Clemson.

Although an ACCCG appearance and possible win holds incredible irony at the moment.

The lower-end of the consensus is 6-6. Heard several times this offseason that we are a sliver better than last year. Idc either way. I'll embrace the 6-6 low expectation and pretend to be surprised if were better than that at season's end.

B is the obvious choice.

We end the bullshet with UNC and FSU (although I’d hate to lose a third game at home to UL).
THEN we beat Clemson in the ACCCG rematch.

It’s very possible that A&M craps the bed again and a win against them, early in the season, might end up meaning very little. Without knowing which of these teams will end up better, I’d go with option B. It gives us a three game win streak to end the regular season plus it includes beating FSU. I prefer late season momentum ala 2016 over late season collapse ala 2017. Early season losses can be made up for.

If you're penciling us in for 8 wins after seeing last years product, God bless you. Lets beat Miami OH first.
