Phil Steele's Defense Rankings

Mr. Steel may think we're good on defense, but he still thinks highly of the Gaytors enough so he has them a solid top ten... must think they're **** good on offense... we'll see.

What I would really love to see is someone emerge as a dominate pass rusher. Joe Jackson was a beast but he wasn’t a dominate pass rusher. Hence why he wasn’t drafted higher.

If someone emerges as a guy you have to double team all of a sudden more of those blitz we want to run get open runs or a 1 on 1 for our best guy.

Absolutely, we know what a MD defense is capable of and this year should be killer. The delay announcing the qb imo is cause Manolo and Co. are taking the offense very seriously and squeezing the guys to perform at a much higher level than before wit CMR.

From a maturity standpoint Knowles is vastly superior as one of the handful of 5th year seniors.
