All we need is a good 1 tech dt and the safeties to be solid.

We get that and it’s Turnover Chains for everybody.

We are basically in the same position as 2017 but with more experience in the front seven.

The corners will be beastly. Blades and Ovey will be electric. Safeties will be athletic. Eliminate busted coverages and be smart with the blitz. We can get a pass rush with four if we play receivers aggressively at the snap.

I would like to see more cover 2 zone in long yardage and some more man 2 against slower qbs. I have seen us suffocate teams with Tampa 2 but we hardly run it. The d line makes it deadly.

I hope our use of cover 3 and zone blitz is used sparingly. No need to leave gaping holes in the defense with our pass rush. Man up, cover 1 and blitz or cover with the free defender.

Always take away the slot and te at the line. Doing that is what makes our pass defense stifling.

Really hoping Baker realizes what he has and trusts the front four with simple, aggressive defense. To **** with safety blitzing all game long.

Our defense is great, but with all the talent/leadership were losing #2 feels a little generous. Would have us more 7-9 range. Still top 10, just need to see it to believe the #2 ranking is justified.

If you don’t think this defense is gonna be absolutely nasty this year, you’re a moron, naive, or both.

I still hold my position that it’ll take a small step back from last year, but from the outside, it may actually look even better just because I expect the help from the offense and punter to be infinitely better.
