A 10 win regular season with an ACCCG victory gets you into the playoffs.

That's the goal and it's attainable. Forget what rank we have. That's what we need to accomplish.
I don't disagree with you. I just gave up trying to predict our record a couple of years ago.

Pretty sure winning the ACC gets you a 1-4 seed now, guaranteed.

I think the 1-4 seeds are the 4 highest ranked conference champions. I guess a Go5 team could possibly be ranked higher than an ACC champion, but it's unlikely. So I'd be pretty confident that 10-2 regular season and a win in Charlotte to win the league and finish 11-2 locks up a 1-4 seed and first round bye.

Not true. Phil bases his top 25 off where he thinks teams will finish, which DOES include UF in top 25 (#19).

According to Phil, UM comes in at #10 and has 4 top 25 opponents this upcoming season
(#14 FSU, #16 VT, #19 UF & #23 UL).
Tennessee finished 9-4 last year and wound up 17th
With their schedule, IF they can post an 8-5 record they'll be ranked in the Top-20.

I disagree with Phil.
If ain't happening.

I think UF will be better than the public thinks.

I also think UM will be better than the public thinks.

I got UF winning 7 games. Unfortunately for those scumbags one of those 7 ain’t vs Cam Ward.

I added an ACCCG win because I don't think a 10 win season is a guarantee to finish in the top 10, or top 12 for that matter.

So we have 4 position players who are 3rd team all-Americans or better, and all the teams we play combined have two?

And I’m supposed to be OK with losing 2 games??

**** that. 11-1 or you can’t coach for ****.
I'm preparing myself for the worst! Here goes:

The best team does not always win a game. Luck is an intangible that cannot be measured.

Cam gets hurt and all bets are off.

I added an ACCCG win because I don't think a 10 win season is a guarantee to finish in the top 10, or top 12 for that matter.

Here is what 2023 Playoff would have looked like. So ,I would say , Yes, a 10-2 season does not assure a playoff birth unless you win your conference.
  1. Michigan (13-0) - Big Ten Champion
  2. Washington (13-0) - Pac-12 Champion
  3. Texas (12-1) - Big 12 Champion
  4. Alabama (12-1) - SEC Champion
  5. Florida State (13-0) - ACC Champion
  6. Georgia (12-1)
  7. Ohio State (11-1)
  8. Oregon (11-2)
  9. Missouri (10-2)
  10. Penn State (10-2)
  11. Ole Miss (10-2)
  12. Oklahoma (10-2)

First-Round Matchups:

  • No. 12 Oklahoma at No. 5 Florida State
  • No. 11 Ole Miss at No. 6 Georgia
  • No. 10 Penn State at No. 7 Ohio State
  • No. 9 Missouri at No. 8 Oregon

Quarterfinal Matchups:

  • Winner of Oklahoma/Florida State vs. No. 4 Alabama
  • Winner of Ole Miss/Georgia vs. No. 3 Texas
  • Winner of Penn State/Ohio State vs. No. 2 Washington
  • Winner of Missouri/Oregon vs. No. 1 Michigan
This expanded format would include the six highest-ranked conference champions and the next six highest-ranked teams, providing a broader and more inclusive playoff system.

Obviously I’m not factoring injuries. And going undefeated is really, really hard. I agree with you, **** happens during the course of a season. So I’ll give them 1 speed bump. But if I got 4 kids who are top 3 team all-America, AND ALL 12 TEAMS I PLAY COMBINED ONLY HAVE 2, I better not be losing a lot of games.

I am trying to think back over the last 20 years when there was a year, I DID NOT pick us to win 10 games. Maybe one or two years. I do it to myself. I am way past delusional at this point. I have accepted it. Yes, again, I am saying 10 wins, however, I may go sit in a fire ant pile if we don't beat Florida and Duke with honey on my ba**s.

Mario will hopefully learn from his coaching mistakes the past 8 years. The talent he has assembled should hold on to the ball when he runs out the clock and hands the ball off with no time outs. I don't take a knee when playing NCAA 2014 so why should he.

Just please beat Florida and don't lose to Manny Arteaga.
Because anyone with an iq over about 70 who sees taking a knee runs out the clock would do so?

Vegas has gayturds o/u at 4.5. If you think 7 is ur number you have a lot of slack to be the over 4.5
