PFF Thinks Chad Could Have A Breakout Year.

They did a top 5 list of former 5 star recruits who are ready to have a big season and the had chad at 1.

1. Chad Thomas, DE, Miami
At 6-foot-6 265 pounds, Thomas is not the ideal build to be playing on the interior of the defensive line, but that’s exactly what he did in Miami’s old system. He lined up at four or five-technique (head up or outside shoulder of offensive tackle) on 169 of his 570 snaps, and he played defensive tackle on a four-man defensive line on 93 snaps. That’s a big chunk of his time playing on the inside where he had to deal with more double teams and run-blocking guards. Enter new defensive coordinator, Manny Diaz, and we may be seeing much more production from Thomas. He already posted a solid pass rushing grade last season, finishing with two sacks, three QB hits, and 22 hurries on 326 rushes, but those numbers should improve as he plays more of a traditional pass-rushing defensive end role and he won’t get pushed around in the running game nearly as often as he did last season. Look for Thomas to take a big step as a pass rusher and improve his negative run-stopping grade from his first two years.

A lot of players on defense are going to have a breakout year I believe. The entire D-Line will since they won't have to stand still and play patty cake anymore!!
 
How fantastic is it to actually be excited about the defense going into a season? Hope to see the D-line feasting on some QBs this year.
 
Hey no mention of the fuggin idiots who put him and others in that ****ty system...Oh that's right, one guy is now assistant to the assistant bathroom monitor at the YMCA and the other is temporary position corch of one of the worst NFL teams

PFF threw everyone off with their QB grading system, last year. But overall they run a good system. I trust their assessments. They do twice the work the analysts, scouts, reporters, and experts that force opinions down our throats, do.

They give credit to players that are talented but hidden by bad circumstances like coaching or team.
 
IS this the same PFF that said Ryan Tannehill was better then Andrew Luck??

I'm so happy these kids not have everything they need to be successful. Full administrative support, coaching to a nutritionist. The improvement will be 100% across all defensive positions!

PFF is the goods. Nobody is perfect but their info is as legit as it gets. Got the link for the other 4?
 
Chad with two sacks...Unbelievable when you go back and look at his senior year tapes...He averaged at least two per game or better...
 
After working with Coach Kul it is now all on Chad. I've always thought he was overrated and benefited from the Booker T Bounce. I can't wait to see our defense.
