PFF Miami Grades vs. LSU

Boulware, Ford, Smith

Get them into starting rotation

And of course, Cade and NKosi

Really feel that PFF isn’t accurate with those grades. They didn’t play nowhere near good but the defensive grades are way off except at LB. If they were that bad then Burrow would’ve hit over 50% of his passes and LSU wouldn’t have averaged 3.8 ypc.

Hightower needs more snaps. Langham less.

Boulware earned more snaps.

Amari Carter 8 snaps, 6 blitzes. @HurricaneVision higligjted a package I mentioned yesterday where it’s a 3 man front, with Carter (and Pinkney when I saw) standing on the LOS. Hopefully this package/role with Carter doesn’t become predictable.

Dallas forced 2 missed tackles, Homer 1. I’ve been saying all summer that I think Dallas will be the more productive running back for this team the way the OL is constructed, bc he can move horizontally and make guys miss. This is obviously too small of a sample size, but it’s a stat I’ll be keeping an eye on this year.

Malik Rosier is not a Miami caliber starting QB.
Jahair Jones is not a Miami caliber starting guard.
Hayden Mahoney is not a Miami caliber starting guard.
Pat Bethel is not a Miami caliber starting DT.
Jhavente Dean is not a Miami caliber starting DB.
Sheldrick Redwine is not a Miami caliber starting S.
Jeff Feagles is not a Miami caliber starting P.

That is 6 out of 22, plus Feagles, that I don't believe are anywhere close to what we need in order to compete with teams like LSU, Clemson, and Wisconsin.

We also have a few guys on the 2 deep that aren't Miami caliber:
Knowles
Mike Smith

It's time to sit most of these veterans and let the younger, more talented guys get game experience before the ACC slate starts. The schedule sets up perfectly for this. No more excuses and no more favoring older players just because they're older.

The result of our stellar recruiting and Richt not being able to hold onto a single player who had a passing thought that he should transfer or go pro the past 3 years.

So Malik 'Kirby Freewright' Rosier got an average/below average?

The best player on the field G Willis got an average? Dude had 4 TFL's and dominated LSU all night.

PFF is tuuuurible.

QB is a head scratcher. It's like Rosier has a *** *** tape out on Rick or something.
Guard I sort of get because it takes time to develop linemen, but it's disappointing that guys like Brown, Herbert, Hillery cannot challenge for playing time.
Bethel is an ok player as a backup but we need to rush along Silvera's development. McIntosh and Norton totally screwed us and themselves.
Dean needs to be benched in favor of the freshmen DB's.

Hightower >>> Cager/ langham.
Cager and lagham can’t be occupying 2 spots on the field period.

Cager is one of those guys that is just gonna be a slow death for me. I like him way more than his production says I should, and I feel like I am gonna go down with the ship. But I'm not bailing yet. He was my pick for offensive breakout player and I am sticking by it for now.

Can be a Solid player but we can’t have him AND langham on the field at the same time. Pope or Hightower needs to be backing Richards or getting first reps with Richards off the field
