Ryan sucked at C. These people don't watch the games. Woodrow was better. He lost 1 rep, which woulda been a big run by Pringle but otherwise was driving his guy back.

He was also getting stood up and pushed back play after play. Not at all the physical play @DMoney was telling us about. Then he was missing guys at the 2nd level just like SJ.
I wanted to make this point and it’s this:
That top clip where Brown goes inside and the receiver goes outside is the perfect example of sports IQ. When we hear “hey, that guy has baseball IQ, has football IQ, Has Basketball IQ, … ect.”
Brown struggles in part because he has poor football IQ. He’s not the quickest guy but he’s gifted physically. He can overcome the the slow feet part by having football IQ and it doesn’t get as simple as knowing what the ******* coverage is and what your teammates in the defensive backfield are doing.
So if it’s a zone and the safety is supposed to have inside responsibility, why the **** are you going into that space and vacating your outside 3rd responsibility?
To me the way I judge it, I put this in the same category as a baseball runner on base. He’s on first base, 3-2 count and 2 outs. You are supposed to get a head start and you start running the moment the pitcher starts throwing the ball home to get a head start in case it’s a hit. So vacating his spot when he’s supposed to n know a fellow defender will be rolling into that spot is like the runner in the baseball example just standing there and watching the pitch to see what happens and then reacting.
Brown can be book smart and intelligent in other ways but he doesn’t seem to have the best football IQ to overcome his deficiencies. It’s what separates a “gamer, or overachiever” from the guy that has the talent but dumb as rocks.
DB2 always got me bugging lookin lazy with no motor. Know that’s not the case, but that’s what he puts on film

He had a 58 overall grade, which factored in Run Defense.
His coverage grade was 52; he gave up 5rec for 70yds & 2TD's, with a 92% catch conversion rate.
He just seems like someone who is playing out of position but maybe someone who knows ball can explain
I think the defense was drinking it's own bath water about how great they were. I believe they can be special because the best offense they see is what they go up against every day and honestly they should be like a blanket on the field. One game in and they have time to grow so here's to that.

Damari is not good. He’s lazy in his technique and his effort level is low. Stanford’s WR High was cooking him repeatedly.

This defense needs a ton of work. I don’t see anything that resembles last year. We didn’t seem overly physical, fast, or violent.

He took a bad angle which in unacceptable
Fitz can play a sideline to sideline center field. We can run 1 high safety with him, allowing JJ and Omar to play closer to the box, so not concerned with Fitz’ physicality at all, don’t need that
