Here's "reality" for you, since some of you claim to love it so much. The UM job pays about 2 million a year. That's at the BOTTOM half of the ACC and no where NEAR what the top programs pay. Also, AG is in his 3rd year here, and just went 9-4, so any discussion about getting rid of him short of him leaving on his own, is a giant waste of time right now. Even if AG left, with the UL job open, Petrino would take that gig over this one any day of the week, as they would put up with him there no matter what he does, and pay him a lot more than UM would. Thats reality.

I have zero doubt that the admins would have never even interviewed Petrino let alone hire him. Not my expectation. That's my wish and probably the wish of others, but the chances was slim to none of him coming here. You are correct that Golden isn't going anywhere, at minimum for another year if not longer but that also depends on how 2014 goes.

Some complain and people find it too much. Some people are on cloud 9 and think everything is great and will only get better with Golden. Some think that point of view is too much. In the end there is a nice balance of negativity and positivity on this board.

If Golden would fire his boy, I think you would see a lot of the division on this board dissipate. Unfortunately Golden has gone all in on Dorito and thats one of the biggest problems for a good portion of the fan base on this site.

I agree, but some sh*t has gone way too far in the last few weeks. The vicious personal insults and attacks on coaches and players is over the line IMO, and makes us look like a bunch of @ssclowns. Michigan State DC Pat Narduzzi interviewed this morning and was a finalist for job, as we've previously reported.

Petrino, per sources, interviewed with Tom Jurich today.

I'd expect announcement in the next 24 hours, perhaps as soon as tonight. We're fully expecting the new football coach in attendance at Thursday's basketball game. We're fully expecting Bobby Petrino to be that guy.
