Peter Ariz's tweet about James Coley

Only reason people like him is because compared to Dorito he looks like a genius.

I don't know about tonight, but Coley gets way too much criticism on here.

Kaaya has gotten better as the season has progressed and our offense looks unstoppable at times.

His offense is statistically worse than Doritos D. Guys an amateur.

I think statistically he would be better if the offense had more opportunities on the field the time of Possession battle with majority of the time the defense is on the field isn't doing the offense any good.

And atleast I see fight in the offense they're some ****y ****'s knowing the only thing that will stop them is them.

Coley doesn't seem as stubborn as Golden/D'Onofrio. He's young, so he isn't set in his ways. He seems inexperienced, but he also seems like he's learning and willing to grow as a coach. I'm confident in Coley and he obviously brings a lot to the table as a recruiter and social media ambassador. (With that said, I was confident in Golden last year, as well...)

We all know that coach Coley was brought in primarily because of recruiting, and that has been successful. He is credited with landing Stacy Coley and Brad Kaaya.

We also knew he had much to learn as a play caller. While I think its obvious that he has a ways to go, I have certainly seen improvement in his play calling abilities. Of course, having Brad Kaaya will help him tremendously. Im still a buyer of James Coley stock. I think he has more upside to come. If he can improve between now and 2015 as much as he did from 2013 til now, I think we will have a high level play caller by next season.

so I'm guessing the bubble screens are coming on 3rd downs, not 1st downs?

No he doesn't. Coley has underachieved. He saw what GT was doing. Yet, 3 and outs on top of 3 and outs. Remember UL and Neb. Kaaya is working with what he was taught in HS. Next year we will see if he gets better. Coley is a mediocre play caller and deserves all the blame he gets.

The offense would also be statistically better if they converted better than 23.5% on 3rd down. Just sayin...

Bottom line is that he's done a poor job this year considering all the weapons he has. Here is what he has:

1. Very good young QB
2. Good OL
3. Good TEs
4. Good WRs, including burners and possession guys and a special talent in S. Coley
5. 3 Good TBs and a good FB

Coley gets a C- or a D in my opinion. This offense should be rolling and they are the worst in the country on 3rd down. His elite talent at WR is a non factor.

Sustained...............C- or D is being Gracious.

Hyperbole (/hˈpɜrbəl/ hy-pur-bə-lee;[SUP][1][/SUP] Greek: ὑπερβολή hyperbolē, "exaggeration") is the use of exaggeration as arhetorical device or figure of speech. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is not meant to be taken literally.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP]
Hyperboles are exaggerations to create emphasis or effect. As a literary device, hyperbole is often used in poetry, and is frequently encountered in casual speech.[SUP][4][/SUP] An example of hyperbole is: "The bag weighed a ton."[SUP][5][/SUP] Hyperbole makes the point that the bag was very heavy, though it probably does not weigh a ton.[SUP][6][/SUP]

If we wanted to see Nostradumbass Ariz's tweets we would follow him. Guy gets in the weeds and reports what he is told from recruits and players, but he should give up divination.

Coleys offense is the worst kind, one that has zero identity and that rears it's ugly head on 3rd down. No bread and butter, nothing for the offense to hang it's hat on. Add on his substandard feel for the game and play calling and I think Coley deserves a F. He needs to be the main recruiting guy but kept far from whoever is calling plays.

Aziz is a great gossip columnist. Loves to fling **** against the wall. If it comes true he lauds himself relentlessly, and his dopey followers eat it up. If he's wrong he disappears for a few days and takes advantage of the short attention span of the dopes who think he's got any better insight than anyone else.

He's playing the odds here. Vag Tech is horrible, and they're missing 3 of their best defenders. UM absolutely should light them up. Doesn't make Coley a sudden genius. Just means we did what we should have been doing.
