I've often said I rather be lucky than good, if I had to make a choice.

This season - new, improved coaching staff, players leaner and likely stronger with more stamina, players getting some real coaching, and we do have some pretty good players.

For ten wins - which we badly need to properly finish off a strong recruiting season, I ask you.

We going to be good/better, or we going to need more luck?

respect.

im about to do a johhny cah thread and get bounced. just wanted to put something on the record that will stick.

archer you know my feels for you. nothing but respect.

men, cash is calling.

we definetly have the talent to win 10 games in the acc with a first round qb and a head coach who is known for developing qbs with a good offensive game plan we could be what north carolina was last year sec style team but we have alot of savages on this team we can be really good.

We were lucky last year to win 8 games. Neb in OT and the miracle in Dook could have easily been loses. We were one of the best teams in the country last year in the all important turnover margin and I believe that more than anything gave us the 8 wins.

With that said,we are better this year with the potential to win 10.Hope it happens.

Weaknesses on the OL and in the defensive backfield make 10 wins doubtful. Still, with a talented and aggressive defensive front and a top QB, the team might surprise on the upside. I predict 8-4 and a quality bowl victory.

You name me any great db core with below average defensive front production and I won't post on this site ever again... That's right you can't... A good to great dline group makes any db group look a lot better than what they are due to constant pressure on the QB and living in the backfield. Our guys the last 2-3 years have played very well in the db backfield when you consider how long they have had to cover players because of no help up front... That's why with an improved defensive front which will undoubtedly because of kuligowski and the personel it won't matter who is back there they are going to ball....

LOL at the mutton heads in here making it seem like 10 wins is some sort of miracle.

UNC won 11 last year coming off a 7 win season.

Michigan won 10 coming off a 5 or 6 win season with a new HC and a retread bum QB.

UF won 10 coming off a 4 win season against a tougher schedule with a new HC and a midget QB who looked like he was flicking boogers off his fingers when he tried to throw the ball.

Richt won 10 last year with a UVA reject and some spaz named Faton Bauta at QB.

Wake the fck up, sissies. 10 wins should be the minimum standard this year.

We also had a 20 point lead and the ball on the ten yard line late in that Nebraska game. Duke was gifted their touchdown with three bogus pass interface calls. Not to mention the carp call that cost us the bowl game. We can make as much of a case that this team was a few plays from more wins even though they led the nation in penalties. Get out of here with that lucky crap.

Always appreciate you keeping the Board real Chise. Golden has poisoned the mind of the fanbase to believe that the Coastal is some difficult division stacked with talent.

True...

I think alot of guys are going to be shocked when you see this football team. Defensively I except to be much better then most. The place we do have depth is the d-line. That d-line will hide some deficiencies. Offensivley will go as far as the o-line takes us. Kaaya, Yearby, Walton, Njoku, & Coley are dynamite but we need to give Brad time.

We win 8 with the last staff and you all are too shook to expect 10 this year? We were the worst team in scoring TDs in the red zone last year. We led the nation in penalties. Kaaya only threw 16 TDs all year and we still won 8. FSU, UNC, VT, ND. Those four games should be what determines our record on the year. If we lose any of the other unlisted games then fold the program. If we stay healthy then we definitely should win 10.

We have 2 games on our schedule that I'm not sure we can win: FSU and ND. We have played FSU close the last two years and with any sort of competent staff, would have won. We won't be favored, but we can win. Notre Dame is going to be tough. Our other OOC games should be 3-0 or this team chocked. We should have no problem with Virginia, Duke at home and really VTech. That's 6 wins right there. Georgia Tech is an awful game every year, but Richt has been successful against them and they have an entire backfield to replace. Win. 7 wins. Cross over is vs NC State, who is dog ****. 8 wins. That leaves a Pittsburgh team with a **** of a running game and not much else at home and a UNC team replacing their QB at home. We can win both games. That's 10 wins. Tell me how this **** is unrealistic?

Broke, last year at this time you were supporting Golden like your life depended on it.

Nope I supported the program( the players) I wasn't going to openly root against my team like some of you. I've been wanting golden gone since the collapse of the season after Duke Johnson was injured in 2013 and him going into hiding after the penn state fiasco and I can pull up post proving that..

2015 Michigan is a very good comparison. A new coach to breathe life into a pretty talented roster combined with a schedule that really wasn't that daunting outside of Ohio State, Michigan State and Utah. They lost all three of those but beat a terrible Florida team in their bowl to finish 10-3. Now they're a preseason top 5. Ten wins is a realistic projection for Miami this year considering their schedule.
