Only focusing on his record is misleading. The guy took over dumpster fires at South Florida and Western Kentucky and ended up leaving both programs much better off than when he got there. If it wasn't for his quarterback being injured this year, Oregon would have had a much better season. I'm not sure if he is going to work out at a big school, but highlighting his record alone is ignoring how bad each program he took over was.

Two things:
First, I said already that I'm not sure if he would be a good coach.
Second, Golden was a Northeast guy. He never had experience recruiting in Florida and his system was doomed to fail at Miami. Also, his only experience was Temple, while did what he did at two schools - USF and WKY. It's like comparing apples to oranges.
