If they rank Alabama ahead of Notre Dame, and we slide up one (BYU, Utah, some other miracle), then we should fit inside the ND cluster. Or, Bama could lose to Auburn next weekend and that slides us up too. There are a few paths--just need one of the many combinations to work out.

And does anybody know whether the clusters are three teams or four teams Reese Davis should be asking that question and get clarity because they are going to conveniently not ever compare Notre Dame with Miami I can promise you that
If Miami is within three games, they’ll say it’s 4 team clusters

That is precisely why they dropped Alabama to 10. It’s a buffer zone if they need to jump up Vandy, they will to keep the buffer zone there will never be a comparison between Miami and Notre Dame. They’re gonna say it never even came up. I’ll bet $10,000.

Clusters were explained.

Cluster 1 is the teams that get a bye (1-4)

Cluster 2 are the teams that would host a playoff game (5-8)

Cluster 3 are the remaining playoff teams who dont host (9-12)

Cluster 4 are the first four out (13-16)

Yeah because up to that point we scored 27 points and we’re winning by 10 points against a 3 win team when we knew we had to blow them out.
