PETE/GEO UPDATES FELIX AND A FEW MORE

No not based on that interview. He had stated earlier this year that he wanted an Oregon offer, ever since he got it he's been showing them a lot of love. But I agree with everyone else, he might talk them up now but when it comes down to it, that's a far move and a big change, especially compared to going to school just an hour drive away from his hometown.

I guess I still don't get it? You seem to be saying because he likes Oregon and the fact that they offered, that must mean Oregon leads, even though he has never stopped saying Miami leads. If that is the extent that the is "talking them up now," saying they are maybe in second place, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

I was just saying they have seemed to close the gap on us, and might even be considered the favorite. He had pretty much already established that if any team has the chance of swaying him from us it's Oregon. Just put it this way, a couple weeks ago it seemed Felix would probably wind up here, but the past couple weeks he's been quiet on the Canes front and vocal about Oregon. Doesn't mean he won't end up here, but he's definetly thinking about it.

Lot of talk tonight about how Felix stated he's going to Oregon. Might be word of mouth, but 4-5 people saying the same thing. ...

Even though he lives about 3,000 miles away, three-star athlete Darrian Felix grew up an Oregon fan. Now he's hoping to turn a solid regional camp performance into a visit to Oregon and The Opening.

Why does Felix love Oregon?

"It's Oregon," Felix said. "I want to leave out of state, I just like Oregon -- the offense, the style that they play."

However, Felix, from Fort Myers, Fla., does not yet have an Oregon offer. He would like to play receiver, but schools are recruiting him as both a receiver and a running back.

We see it every year. Kid gets attention and loves it. Loves thinking about all these great places. December comes and these kids are tired and start thinking about the distance. Oregon has been more **** than Miami. But they will fall this year as well as Auburn. Team to worry about is Tenn. they are coming up hard with a lot to sell.
