Get to Work, Pete.
I wanna see something like this.
** I can confirm that Miami is back in it for Trevonte Valentine. His coaches have now reversed course and are pushing him to Miami out of fear that they will get caught in NCAA hot water. I'm told Tre hung up on a Les Miles call today and was watching the Super Bowl with Anthony Moten.
** As I've mentioned before Ermon Lane and Travis Rudolph will not attend the same school. Lane enjoyed a visit to Tallahassee this weekend and will be signing with FSU. Solid sources are reporting that Rudolph's father brokered a meeting with the staff and they've let bygones be bygones. Travis was one of the stealth visitors to Coral Gables this weekend and I now expect him to sign with Miami. He's very much looking forward to playing with Stacy Coley.
** Back in December, I pointed out that there was a very high possibility that one of Dalvin Cook or Sony Michel would be here. Trust your boy! Since Michel's brother will be staying at UMass, Sony now feels freed from his obligations and can sign where he has preferred from the start: Miami. Another stealth visitor this weekend, I'm told he really bonded with Duke and also Joseph Yearby. Now that this kid is back from his earlier ACL injury, I expect the UM backfield to reach heights not seen in over a decade with these three in tow.
** JC Jackson's surprise unofficial to UF temporarily put a snag in UMs plans, but a strong midnight visit by Coach Golden has me feeling good about our chances again. With his parents in UMs corner, expect this talented Imokalee athlete to be a Cane on Wednesday.
