What’s the story on Ward? Haven’t heard that one.

Tough crowd in here lol. I think they do a great job. Obviously everyone is not going to agree with all their takes. Peter puzzled me with the “we have to recruit better to win”. Georgia has been atop those ranking for a while now and they are in a drought. Meanwhile Indiana wins it all with a sub par recruiting. Not to mention, Miami was in the ship with the current recruits. So that take doesn’t add up. Top 10 recruiting is good enough to win if everything hits right in a season. And having top 3 classes no longer guarantees a ship.

Basically Pete is a Cam Ward hater, hated on the defense last year, and doesn't know **** about football. He acts like an emotional teenage brat.

Exactly. Pair Ward with the 2025 defense and Miami has their 6th ring. Anyone who wants to hate on the number 1 overall pick needs to sign off forever.

I think it was more so the fact that Mario’s bread and butter is being an elite recruiter. So when the hire was made we all expected annual top 5 classes. It’s just harder to compete with that when the top 10 programs $$$$ wise can throw it around if they wanna spend a boat load on a certain class. Mario I guess was undervalued on his program building and culture building. Because after the first two seasons many people started to question that ability and now after 2 seasons trending in the right direction it seems our culture is tier 1.

Anyone thought that had a pipe dream. Despite Mario’s success and SEC being down, kids clamor to go play in that conference. It will take several more down years until SEC comes back to the mean in recruiting. Even Oregon with an endless amount of money can’t break that trend.

Mehhhhh....
I think Miss Terry was right.....it is not the Conference anymore...e.g the rise of the Big Ten, or the fall of the SEC...or the stagnant ACC teams.......

"it is not playing for the Alabama team anymore, it is always about the money and how much will they pay me".......and apparently Nick agreed....

Clamoring to play in a conference is just a cover for "they paid me more, but I just don't want to say it"......that is reality....
It is "who pays the most, and how fast can I use that team to get to the NFL".......that is the painful reality...

My humble opinion.

What has made D and CIS so great isn't the gimmick that everyone else does these days. The loyalty here has been built on straight forward accurate reporting (best insiders have always been here if you pay attention), trust, and a few whacky posters along the way. It's hard to have this kind of longevity.

The last thing we (well, I) want is for this to become watered down because of "clicks". But at the end of the day, it's D's call. It's his business, and I of course respect it/him. He's obviously earned the right to take this thing in any way he wants, and we'll still be here to support.

Maybe I'm way off here. I'm getting older lol.
 
Often times when a pro wrestler struggles to get over as a babyface, he will make what’s referred to in the industry as a “heel turn”. When a good guy goes bad. Often times it’s easier for some guys to play heels because they just have to be insulting and contrarian to get a rise out of the fans. It can be a tough act to maintain though because eventually the shtick of just calling the fans “fat losers” wears off and people stop paying attention. That’s why the best heels constantly evolve.

Absolutely and @DMoney needs to rein him in quite a bit because Pete is making the podcast literally unwatchable. And I’ll list the reasons why, number one he interrupts D constantly! Number two he pretends to know more about football than people that actually played the game and when he gets called out on that BS, he acts like a punk little kid! Third, and finally, a punk like him needs to smack across the face to put him in line and that’s clearly something that’s never happened to him. He’s a disrespectful little knee knocked dork. Oh, and have you ever listened to the shows he does alone, it’s like pulling teeth, he just talks in circles. Smh

100%, this whole PTI gimmick they’ve been trying recently. It’s so played out and stupid that I’ve literally stopped watching the show.. just get back to basics @DMoney and rein in that little disrespectful punk Pete and people will start watching the podcast more again. We’ve seen enough PTI over 25+ years to be sick of it.
