Perspective from the inside....

Criticizing on a message board or the press is something that comes with the territory. If a guy makes a bad play and people criticize him over that as part of the general discussion of the team you have to accept that as part of life.

Actively finding someone on social media to message them your displeasure is not criticism, even though you may not see that as a personal attack. That's stalking and we've normalized it because, "hey, it's the internet and I can't see you". If you ran up to a player on the street and said, "What's wrong with you? Why are you jumping routes?", you would be called psychotic.

The vast majority of us never played CFB let alone at this level therefore the vast majority of us have no idea what these young fellas go through on a daily basis. To excoriate these young guys over a missed play, tackle, or whatever is absolutely insane.

Maybe, just maybe, an encouraging word might help motivate them to improve and be better the next time.
I agree, but players shouldn't read fan websites. Why? You shouldn't need to read that fans love you or hate you. Focus on your team and teammates. Fans can be idiots. This applies to the next level as well.

If they entertain social media, they do so at their own risk.

I was crushing Nattys whenever I would visit Dayton. Diesels (Budweisers) for me, living at home as I went to school locally and worked a **** ton because I wanted money and to avoid my parents as much as possible lol.
Back then I drank Natty, Busch Heavy, Beast Ice, PBR, Cobra, Hurricane, 211, Rolling Rock, OE.

As for whiskeys, no way I could afford Johnnie Walker, so I was throwing back Turkey, Kentucky Brother, Cutty Sark.

I dabbled in Everlear.

Pretty much the foulest **** on the planet.

Good ****. We drank pretty much whatever. My boy would go through phases where he’d drink Old Style and PBR for a couple months then back to the usual like Bud Light, Diesel, Busch.

No hard stuff for me. I still won’t drink it, never been a fan.

Yeah hunting players down to voice your displeasure is bit much. Cursing out my TV and coming on here talking **** is about as far as go.

I think there’s societal confusion between what the term kid means & what the term adult mean.

A kid is defined as a child or a young person, while an adult is defined as a person who is fully grown or developed.

In either case, age is not a prerequisite to determine such distinction, although it has been the guideline to determine such. Age does not always mean maturity, so just b/c a person of age can be involved in certain things as prescribed by laws of the land does not automatically mean u r an adult, b/c mentally, physically u may not be fully developed. Give u an example: A person in Zambia can join the army at the age of 16, does that mean that 16 yr old is now an adult? Or in Mali, a 15 yr old is deemed legal to drink; does that mean that 15 yr old is an adult?

So the activities one can be involved in based upon age does not automatically equate to an adult b/c laws can dictate certain things, but maturation is something totally different.

So, imo, it’s perfectly fine to refer to young men & women who are still learning & developing as a kid, even though their age garnish certain privileges. Some mature faster than others, while others may never mature & continue to display “childish” behaviors (which is a totally separate topic), but to draw a hard line in the sand stating if a person is 18 they are no longer a kid, well by definition that’s not entirely true.

100% agree with what you said. And to add to that, from a physiological standpoint, the human brain isnt considered fully developed until age 25, using the term "kids" is still appropriate.

Sssssssssss... I don't know. Feel like that has a 50 success rate. Happen for me at 25 and a couple other friends, but we have friends out here still living that scumbag life style. ******* fat women willingly and not out of necessity. Offering up sealed information of past escapades around the wife unproked. Yeah yeah nah all kind of unspeakable offenses.

When they come by the BBQ on Sundays, we hit them male version of "If your need to talk, I am here for you".....Bro You good?
