What we’re you doing when you were 18, 19, 20 years old? Kids? No, but a ways away from being considered a MATURE adult.

I was working 2 jobs at 18. My dad married my mom at 18. Had me at 19. My grandfather was married with his 2nd kid on the way.

That’s real life that many like you and I experienced as 18 year olds and not comparable to what CFB players experience.

There needs to be 2 options because anonymity is super important when we need to criticize people in power... but, all social media should have a verification process for all users if they want it, not just big accounts, and then you should have to ability to never see unverified accounts.

I may be in the minority on this. Short of death threat or personal attacks, harsh criticism of your performance is fair game. Once you become a public figure, anything you do in performing your job is on the table.

If you don't like that kind of pressure, get yourself a job as a Account Manager or something, get your bi-annual performance reviews, and call it a day. It's a uncomfortable true

I hold a position that is very public and is often scrutinized, so yeah, it’s natural for certain career paths. And I agree, there is a line.

Stevenson has been playing hurt since last year so ive never been down on him...i think i was at the game where he through his shoulder out on a hit. Hes a good player and will play in the league for some time as long as he hones in and gets drafted to the right situation. A guy that can play cb or safety at the next level.

I’m really concerned about the lack of rehab/recovery by the guys this season and offseason. I’m not blaming the players for that either, something is up in the trainers/surgeons room or something.

Consistently guys have either missed expected return dates, have quickly re injured what they just rehab, or have had set back after set back.

I don’t believe 18, 19, 20 year olds are prepared for that type of scrutiny. Universities do little to help as well

Criticizing on a message board or the press is something that comes with the territory. If a guy makes a bad play and people criticize him over that as part of the general discussion of the team you have to accept that as part of life.

Actively finding someone on social media to message them your displeasure is not criticism, even though you may not see that as a personal attack. That's stalking and we've normalized it because, "hey, it's the internet and I can't see you". If you ran up to a player on the street and said, "What's wrong with you? Why are you jumping routes?", you would be called psychotic.
