Personnel Wise…Who would you like to see more of at this point

Looking at next year...

Do you think either he or Ewald have skill set for nickle? I know you weren't the biggest Ewald fan out of high school but you liked Antoine
Ewald maybe.

But after seeing that massive impact that Keionte Scott has had at Nickel, I'm not so sure it would be wise to put a player like Wald in that spot.

The Nickelback does a lot & has a lot of responsibility in this scheme. Have to be a quick decision maker mentally & have the physical quickness in conjunction with it.

Antoine is a Field Corner.

No idea why he played like 1 play vs usf
Should have saved that game, could have used the speed in the conferences game
Guess we can 2 more games

He’s been hurt. I has actually heard he was taking a shirt and being put on shelf week leading up to UF I believe but not sure how true that is now. I’d love to see more of him as well but not sure if running stubbornly in between the C/G when the defense is mugging the A gaps really suits him well…

Ya he's been a beast…Maybe the best player on the defense. Even if you don't think they can do it at the level if you had to pick the next nickle from this roster, who would you go with? And then who in this recruiting class?

He looks fine in pre game drills.
He seemed to be red shirting all along

1. On the roster - Zech Poyser
From the Portal
- Jahmal Shelby
- Mister Clark
- Ty Goodwill

2. Jontavius Wyman & Camdin Portis

My man. Thanks…Yeah I thought about Poyser in that role as well. Especially (but not only because) when they were talking about Pruitt possibly moving back to safety. And I agree 100% on Portis. Tx

I honestly want to see less of the tight ends in general. I think we’ll have more success running the ball out of 4 WR sets. I don’t even care who the WR’s are. Toney/CJ of course and then any combo of Marion/Johnson/Moore/Jojo. Let’s run at light 6 man boxes and not 7/8 man boxes.

Moore (Mine): Pruitt, Lightfoot, Lyle (If he's 100%, I'm not giving up on him for 10 mostly poorly blocked carries last couple weeks), Trader/Moore/Upshaw (Someone who can beat their man besides Toney please), Schott

Less of, if I had to call it: Bauman, Fletcher, Bissainthe, Toure (I actually don't hate any of these players, they all have strengths, some of them even have a chance to play in the league, just think they are what they are…The defensive guys I have listed as wanting to see more of on passing downs/strong passing teams, and more so in place of Bissainthe/Toure on the field at the same time). The occasional breathers for our starting DE could do wonders and it's not like we don't have options.

Trying not to be that dude always screaming for someone to be benched, just going by what this team is lacking right now (explosive running and pass plays, offense in general, LBs struggling in space and coverage) and who has flashed (lightfoot and combined with the facts our stud Des may be wearing down)
Lyle and Trader. Some of the young defensive ends behind Mesidor and Bain

We don’t have great receivers or defensive depth. Still a top 5 roster. The issue is not personnel related.

Put Mario in the box on game day & hire a legit OC.
Mario needs to hire someone who has been a successful HC to be AHC and help him with game and time management decisions on gameday plus game preparation/scheming opponents weaknesses on offense, defense and special teams. Obviously he isn't going to let any of that be known.

I like the idea of no TEs in certain snaps but feel the opposite in that I don’t think we’re incorporating the TEs as receivers enough. Accelerate the freshmen development and get Schott and Gilbert going. They can be split out or put in motion to create mismatches. Or block them leak out in screens.

Scroggins or Bryant or Pickett or McConathy if healthy. Anyone to cut down reps for Bain and Mesidor or they will be average by the end of the year. Blount is playing well and has the right amount of snaps.

More of Bain and Lightfoot on the same side.

More of Brown other than the short-yard downs. Lead blocker for Lyle?

More off-tackle runs and sweeps with Lyle with this hyped up OL.

Less screens. More routes between the hashes using Baby Jesus as a decoy. How about using a RB to chip and cover the flat after the Trips release?

More eye candy using Baby Jesus to open up the other wideouts and TEs. Crossing routes with CJ, drags, etc.

More option routes to allow our WRs to sit in zones versus running into them.

More aggressive playcalling starting from the coin toss until post game interviews.

I’d like to see aggressive play calling and putting guys in positions to succeed.

Enough with throwing away downs running into the back of the center… RPOs with someone like lofton, carver or Schott to start attacking the edges and stop letting teams free fire into the A gaps

Like to see Moore with more 50-50 ball chances like the USF game…. Love Toney but he’s pulling double coverages and with a safety on top they aren’t gonna let him be the one to beat them deep.

Lyle in some zone blocking runs… this bully ball shove the back for another couple yards is cute for 3&1 or goal line but in the middle of the **** field?! Cmon man

Love to see some new blood at linebacker…. We need some athleticism if we’re gonna see experience guys get killed in coverage or miss tackles I’d rather see more athletic young players earning their stripes and learning for the betterment

We already call a decent amount of RPO's. Beck has been mid in his decision making in these instances.
