Perryman best LB in country

I wouldn't say the best. But one of the best yes, just sad he wasn't on a really good team. Same **** happened to Spence. Unreal.

I agree. He is a special player.

Not sure I agree. He has special traits such as his acceleration, explosion and hit power, but he's not a special prospect at all imo. He's incredible at attacking downhill when the play is in front of him but he gets hung up on too many blocks, makes a lot of mental errors and bad reads, and will get picked on a lot in coverage in the pros. Specifically he doesn't get enough depth and struggles to redirect and cover ground laterally. He often just drops to a spot and stands in place, reacting late to crossers or receivers settling in his zone. He's too small to match up against TEs in man coverage as well.

It's a weak LB class so he's the top dog but the draft community is still lukewarm on his pro projection. He's a 2nd or 3rd rounder for me but a lack of scheme fits could drive down his value. I bet a lot of teams will view him as a small 2-down run-and-hit guy, which obviously limits his value.

Call me crazy but Sean Spence is/was a better football player than Perryman imo. If he stayed healthy he would've been one of the top 3-down LBs in the league, like DeAndre Levy.

Best tight end in UM history, Best Runningback in UM history and still getting thruster by a 4-6 team!

You're basing this off stats I assume? It doesn't really hold up - Walford won't be as good as Olsen, Shockey or Graham in the pros. Duke will be very good, but is he better than James, McGahee, Portis and Gore? I'm not sure.

All of those guys had fierce competition for playing time. Walford and Duke haven't had that and have played from day one. Would they start on the 2001 team?

I underestimated Perryman. I thought he was slightly below Sean Spence, but now he's a few tiers better. The best LB we've had since Vilma.

Yeah he's certainly benefited from staying his Senior year. His draft stock must be skyrocketing right now.

I happen to think Grace will be a better player, but he's a little more limited physically when it comes to the pros (in terms of size).

Hands down. Might be best we have ever had at Miami as well. Too bad he never played on a championship team. He will be a pro bowler no doubt.

I agree, he's going to be the hardest hitter in the nfl the minute he gets drafted. He gun have fines out the *** and suspensions for murdering people. One of the best we had and his best days r ahead of him in ny with the giants lol.

DP is going to be incredible in the league, can't believe they convinced him to stay. He gun go bananas in the senior bowl with real coaching.

Look I've been touting Clive, Duke, and DP for several years now, but people on this board need to get right these are not the best players at their position ever at the U. Clive doesn't even make top 5 Canes TE all time, no one would take Duke (gasses out every second half) Johnson over the likes of Edge, Clinton, Willis, Frank, Otis, etc. and DP is a machine out there but is not the difference maker that Morgan, Vilma, Webster, and maybe even Spence and Beason were. It's been a rough year but keep it together with proclaiming all of these all time greats out there for this 6-5 squad

Woah. Disagree here but obviously think he's a special player

Yeah, no matter who you mention it is difficult to claim best ever at Miami -- doesn't really matter what position. DP is great but wow we have had some LBs over the years. Duke is my favorite player ever and I am an old dude, but greatest RB even is one big claim. Clive is good but not close to best TE ever. But DP, Duke and even Kaaya have been best on the field just about every week this year and we still get our butts whipped. Give em the best coach on the sideline every day.

This is a stupid post. Dude is good, but to say he's the best Cane LB ever is ******* absurd. OP must have never watched the old Canes teams. DP is a very nice player, but he's not Mike Barrow, Dan Morgan, Ray Lewis, etc. Give me a break. When Ray played, it was a ******* joke -- it seemed like he made every single tackle. Hands down the most instinctual linebacker I've ever seen play.

Going to be a beast in the league, and dam I hope the Dolphins take him in the 1st.
My wish list
1st perryman
2nd cb or green beckham or gurley
3rd walford
4th cb Joshua shaw
5th feliciano

Funny you mention someone who makes every ****img tackles. That would be DP too. He's top 5 Miami LB easy. I would be willing to bet he starts next year in the league as well.

He was terrific. He scraped incredibly well and was outstanding in coverage. If he had tackles who could protect him he'd have Kuechley-like numbers. He's going to be one **** of a pro.

i'm not sure if he's the best in the country but i have never seen a linebacker consistently flatten guys when he tackles them the way perryman does, the ball carrier always looks like they hit a brick wall he has some incredible short area explosiveness. he will do really well the league, a lot of people picked on chris borland for his size at wisconsin last year and he's doing really good for the 49ers.

Best tackling LB I've ever seen play here. Nobody gains positive momentum/yards after getting hit by DP/

He is has been solid and good...NEVER GREAT. DP stayed his senior yr props for that...he is getting better and better. I still say that in the NFL with NFL DT and ends he will be a much better player than here...same as spence and Cmac..they all had ****** D lines...

Grace will be a better LB when its all over...IMO...not yours MY Opinion.
