Perry Starts All Season, 9-3 at Minimum

We've have only played *** defense. Tell me who on our schedule has a legit defense. Let me tell you, UVA and GT. UVA his first rode start played pretty bad, but his coaches didn't help him with running 4 certs all day. Then he played GT above 60% with multiple dropped passes. Another thing is that coaches dont get Perry in a rhythm. Look at Tom Brady majority of the game he is throwing short and intermediate routes with Perry majority of the time richt is asking him to throw bombs 80% of the time.

you're forgeting that perry audibles to those plays.... cmr basically said after the uva game that perry audibled out of every play... if you audible out of every play and are trash you deserve to get pulled.... and look at perry's stats before GT started playing prevent defense, bc they would be trash. perry got garbage time boosted.

I will say that I think Perry is good enough to get us to where we want to be.

My problem is a simple one. Our offense doesn't make the QB's job easy. Even if you have perfect protection, we aren't creating easy throwing lanes or using our players strengths. The routes are rudimentary and easily identified by the defense. It's a mess that needs corrected. This offense would have any QB struggling with it.
 
So many hilarious replies on this thread.

This thread has absolutely nothing to do with how good Perry is. Plug in any other QB, you don't switch QBs back and forth multiple times in the same game. Kyler Murray plays like crap in that situation.

This thread is all about the QB mismanagement by Richt. Perry didn't know his plays? Then don't start him in the first place. The minute Richt made the switch, he should have stuck with Perry. End of story.

Looking back at summer camp, it's crazy to think CMR believed rosier was that much ahead of the rest of the QBs that he was named s starter mid camp.

This season was a classic example of a coach wanting to win his way and his way only. Rosier won CMR over and Perry was the better QB.

I’m not sure that you fully grasp our current options.

Perry is the best QB we have had since Brock Berlin. Richt is the worst coach that we have had since Lou Saban.

I kindly request that you aim your righteous disappointment towards the arrogant think-tank that considers themselves untenable and beyond reproach.
 
This season and last season were much closer than we remember
- Could have very easily been a 5 loss team last year
- Could have been a 10 win team this year

No. The offense we ran wouldn’t have given us a 1 loss season.

I don’t see it... if we would’ve went 9-3 with Nkosi as the starter the staff would’ve started him going into the season.

Gotta agree with you. We’d have needed a change in philosophy to see any appreciable improvement.

Our losses this season weren’t as close as last seasons wins. But yea, the o was horrible last year too

Perry may not be the savior we need at QB to make a playoff run, but damnit he was the best QB hands down on our roster this season - even with all of his deficiencies. Richt's major mistake was falling into the, 'cut off your nose to spite your face', trap. Was Kosi doing all of the little things necessary to be elite? Probably not. But you play your best players that give you the best chance to win.

And with all of the team's flaws, we needed stability at QB. Richt screwed that situation up royally.
