Perry is the only leader on this team

Enos called the game differently after Perry got in. It had nothing to do with their skills sets or the spread vs Pro Set discussion. It was because we were down 28-0 as half time was approaching.

It looks like we have two flawed QBs and we're stuck with picking the lessor of two evils, with coordinators that have difficulty adjusting and a team with no discipline.

I've been on that Jarren train for a while now. Perry just understands this team more right now I think if the O line was just average Jarren would be the right choice but with the way things are Perry just seems to have a better understanding. Shxt give Tate a couple plays fk it lol.
 
Perry also got bailed out on another INT as well, I’m not ready to throw the hat in on Williams yet!
 
My gripe with Perry last year was that he didn't see the field pre-snap nor did he use his eyes to move the defense.

I saw differently last night. That pump fake to a fake screen on Brevin and the touch he put on the ball was perfect once #9 cleared the defender.

Perry may be more erratic but he's a playmaker that's starting to see the field better. Consider that, while deprived of VaTech level talent, Bud is still a legit college coordinator who is known for disguising coverages.

Perry just chopped them up.

I agree, I think Perry played well given the circumstances. But it’s hard to have good pocket presence with atrocious offense line. You never know when a rusher is going to come free and take your head off.
 
Perry looked really bad at times. Gets happy feet and starts running around (even when OL left a clean pocket).

Jarren is the better QB, he just needs an OL and time to mature.

But NEITHER of them showed an ounce of leadership yesterday. I don’t see anyone yelling on the sidelines or chewing out teammates when they **** up. I see no enthusiasm or pep in the step. Just the usual dead eye’d look.

NKosi doesn’t know the playbook well enough. I can think of 2 plays specifically yesterday where he ****ed up.

1) the play action to no one where he turned the wrong way.
2) the throw that wasn’t meant for JT4, but instead went right to VT CB.

Nah Jarren was under shotgun throwing interceptions and killing drives before Nkosi got in. Enos didn’t change anything the only thing change was the QB.

But I did like the way he stepped up in the pocket to avoid the rush, and ran instinctively and correctly when necessary. You can’t ask for more in this case.
 
Not a whole lot of real difference makers on this team. Jordan is one that comes to mind. That’s about it.

Enos was still calling plays for NKosi to be under center messing up drives. And NKosi wasn’t perfect either.

The difference is Jarren has the mentality of a child not a leader the players don’t respond to him when he’s on the field. The receivers want to make big plays when NKosi is bc they know he can get them the ball.

Baloney, going under center or shot gun was irrelevant. Both had play plays under both formations. There was a difference in the route patterns. Enos was calling a looser game to try to play catch up.

Also, the receivers just want to be successful, to feel that their efforts make a difference. It's the fans that get their jolly's off on titillating plays.

Offense just flows better with 5. He will have his share of picks and sacks, but I'll take it if it means a more wide open offense.
