Very impressed with Perry taking sacks versus panicking and throwing a pick. Even with our putrid punting( and coverage team) it’s a lot better to punt it away and let this D take over. In a game like this with a pretty effective FSU d line I thought an underrated key was Perry not throwing really any ball that was at risk of getting intercepted.

I would agree with you that Perry isn't afraid to take a hit. Has great poise and if anything the hits steeled his nerves. But I'm not quite ready to say he is "mature". At least to me, Perry was nervous out there through 2.5 quarters. I think he got pumped up as much as the rest of us after the turnovers and momentum swing. After that he made some great plays, ones I don't think our previous several QBs would have been able to make. I just hope that confidence sustains itself going forward.

People were talking about he was staring down receivers in the Savannah St game. This dude held the safety on the Brevin TD and the Jeff Thomas big 3rd down over the middle. The thing that impresses me the most was his accuracy with those balls. Thats why again i question those insiders who were saying he's in accurate and throwing picks blah blah. Oh and he can't read defenses, Manny Navarro said thats what he got from Insiders everytime he asked about Perry. Dude should have had 6-8 more completions and maybe up to 50 more yards which would have looked way better than what it ended up being.
