Percentage of fans at the Orlando game

Let’s do some math.

1/3 of the tickets went to the University of Miami, 1/3 of the tickets went to the University of Florida and 1/3 of the tickets went to the citrus bowl folks.

That’s my assumption based on everything I’ve heard and read. If anybody has different information please feel free to chime in.

Assuming the 1/3, or 33% of the citrus bowl tickets go on general sale, in packages or whatever, with a healthy portion being held back for local VIPs local, sales etc., based on local dynamics I would expect that 80% of the citrus bowl’s 1/3 go to gaytor fans.

The math comes out to UM fans filling 39.6% ... with the turds 61.4% or roughly 60/40.

And that’s assuming that Miami fans don’t sell to gator fans, at all. So 65/35 is probably a realistic expectation

Due to high demand, a public sale is not expected for this game. As Florida and Miami finish selling their respective ticket allotments to season ticket holders, the only other way to guarantee access is through membership with Florida Citrus Sports.

so no general sale. i imagine there are a ton of UF fans and alums that are members of Florida Citrus Sports

and the general sale tickets were in packages starting round 300 or so

I hope I’m wrong, and it’s closer to 50/50, but I can’t make the math work that way. Based on the assumptions I made which I think are reasonable.

There must be some scenario where somebody can get me to 50/50, I’d like to see it. I hope it happens. I’m gonna be there so I’ll see it firsthand either way.

check the edited post. there was no general sale either. ill be there as well. to add, the cheapest membership for Florida Citrus Sports is 555 and doesnt include game tickets for the miami UF game, just the OPTION to purchase. sorry zero shot this is 50-50

Yeah, so assuming that it was a third went to the citrus bowl folks, and now we know they totally controlled the distribution of that third, you have to know that 80 to 90% of those are gator fans.

I just don’t see how we can get anywhere close to 50/50. Do you? That’s why am saying 65/35 might be the best case scenario ... Because I know we have many fans try to make a buck off selling tickets.

If not a single fan of ours sells a ticket it’ll be 60/40.

agreed. i think best case, 60-40 but dont be shocked at 70-30. ticket prices are high right now (the LSU-UM tickets were around 100-300 depending on where you sat, but there were tons of tickets available (not like this one)). for me, the most expensive part of getting to the LSU-UM game was the flight.

Yeah I won’t be shocked at 70-30. Not at all. I hope it’s not that.

But basically this Orlando shlt is stacking the deck against us.

It literally is a home game for Florida.

Taking into consideration the fact that UF gets their 1/3 allotment, and then the other 1/3 allotment is gator also because that’s the citrus bowl allotment which is basically 100% gator anyway.

So that’s 2/3 gaytor right there, right off the bat... in other words, 66% ****, 33% Miami, is the baseline scenario

yup essentially what we were saying, but others keep saying "But LSU was this..." not considering the factors they literally dont know **** bout

People just need to realize that it’s a Florida home game. And it’s that because of the way they stack the deck against us.

Blake and the rest of them can say how it’s a neutral site, but it is not a neutral site.

That is a load of shlt that the gaytors and the citrus bowl committee are trying to tell people.

Yeah I guess you’re technically right about Blake. I just have this picture in my mind of him being a weak negotiator. But I really don’t know that for a fact obviously

i believe after 13, they refused to play us again. the only way to get this game was to go neutral site and w the camping world kickoff, its the best way to get it in state. if we played them in atlanta for the chicken kick off, it'd be 100x more gator fans (thats UFs second largest alumni base i believe)

We could have a good turnout in Atlanta I think though. Something like it was in Dallas. It just depends on how they decide to distribute the tickets.. Not saying that we would get close to 50-50 because that’s not going to happen.

We did travel well to Dallas, although it really has nothing to do with Orlando because of the ticket distribution. There was no thumb on the scale with the distribution of tickets to the Dallas game.
