committed after visiting the gators. If recent history a barometer then he letting us know he's gone! At least we can claim to having dated him exclusively for a while.

Sam Bruce headlines Gators visitors, says he's 70 percent to Miami

Sam Bruce headlined the list of college football prospects in the stands at the Florida Orange and Blue Debut on Saturday and the Gators made it clear to the*Fort Lauderdale receiver that they'd love to have him.

Bruce, the 5-foot-9, 185-pound dynamo*from St. Thomas Aquinas, is currently committed to the Miami Hurricanes 2016 recruiting class, but Bruce said*the Gators are certainly in the hunt.

The 'Canes, however, still have Bruce in their corner.

"I'm committed to Miami right now and I'd have to say I'm about 70 percent committed to Miami," Bruce said. "It's a family down there and it's home, and there is really no place like home. I'm looking for them to do some successful things down there this coming season and shocking a lot of people."

Miami also has a bit more established with its offense as it heads into the 2015 season. Freshman Brad Kaaya opened some eyes last year and he will enter camp as the man to lead the show.

"Yes, Brad Kaaya is a great quarterback," Bruce said. "They know where they stand with me. That's pretty much how it is down there."

Meanwhile the Gators, under new head coach Jim McElwain, will be looking for offensive identity.

Will Grier comes out of spring practice as the No. 1 quarterback, but McElwain said it's not necessarily his position heading into fall camp. Treon Harris also returns and has experience, while the Gators have also seen good things from Skyler Mornhinweg and Jacob Guy. No one, however, has wowed themselves into position to take over.

Bruce liked some of what he saw on Saturday.

"They really got the ball to the receivers and I*thought they threw the ball more than usual," said Bruce.

But he also said the movement of the offense will not be the most significant aspect of his decision-making process.

"It's how they bond as a team that's*important. I'm really looking for*more of a family than a football team."

He said Coach McElwain made it quite obvious the Gators want him on board.

"I talked to Coach McElwain for probably 45 minutes," Bruce said. "He basically didn't even talk about football the whole time. He talked about football for*maybe eight of the 45 minutes*that we talked.

"He's just an all-around great guy. He did make it obvious that they want me very bad."

Bruce can see himself fitting in immediately at UF.

"I think I could come in and make a quick impact on the offensive side," he said, "I definitely would have to earn a spot first, but I do feel like I could come in and fight for a starting spot."

Posed with the question as to whether he thought he might change his mind about Miami anytime soon and Bruce said, "No."

There wasn't a large group of blue-chip prospects at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday, and most attention was on already committed players like Cocoa defensive back Chauncey Gardner and Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer wide receiver Isaiah Johnson.*

The Gators will be looking to add more offensive linemen in the 2016 class and on hand Saturday were Marcus Tatum of Daytona Beach Mainland, Stone Forsythe of Winter Garden West Orange and Jawaan Taylor of Cocoa.

Another Cocoa player the Gators would love to have is 2017 ATH B.J. Judson, who is currently committed to Ohio State. Judson said the Gators certainly have his interest and it's a long time until National Signing Day 2017.

Judson, who plays quarterback for Cocoa but will likely be a college receiver, will be at the Ohio State spring game next weekend. He said the recent news that former teammate and good friend Jamel Dean possibly leaving Ohio State will have no effect on his Ohio State commitment for now.

"I really don't know anything about any of that stuff," said Judson, who added that he did not think Dean was upset with Ohio State coaches.*

Also in the crowd at UF on Saturday was highly*touted Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett receiver*Josh Imatorbhebhe, the brother of inured UF*freshman TE*Daniel*Imatorbhebhe, as well as Bradenton IMG Academy kicker Ricky Aguayo, who is the brother of FSU all_american kicker Roberto Aguayo.

Also in attendance were Newberry DE Malik Neal, QB Blake Devers of Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas, Williston DT Greg Days, OL Twishawn Glenn of Daytona Beach Mainland and DE Donovan Winter of Oviedo Hagerty.

Several 2015 UF signees were also in the crowd. Some of the visitors were Apopka offensive lineman Martez Ivey,*Glen St. Mary Baker County defensive end CeCe Jefferson and Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas RB Jordan Scarlett.

Good Stuff Paranos.

I think Bruce sticks it out. We have to perform on the field though. He has 10 months until he has to make a decision.

That family statement sticked out to me so much. Kevin Beard and all those SFE canes commit. It maybe closing him in. We have him. We just have to win. Gatora are going to suck *** so im not worried about them.

he sound like he wish scarlett would of stayed committed to Miami, his hart is in Miami but i think he goes to UF at the end of the day there gonna promise him the world and scarlett & Quincy is gonna pull him in that direction.
