I've always felt like Richt would do thr right thing because of how many upperclassmen on defense give their all to dominate and how blatantly obvious he's screwed up the offense. He's built a monster defensive staff and they are all killing it but on offense he has to bring on a spread and swallow his pride or else his alma mater will throw him out so maybe im giving him too much credit but I somehow trust he'll be smart

The fact Richt is even thinking about talking himself out of it confirms he is a problem. A man this stubborn and loyal to his staff can’t win anywhere. He’ll go down with the ship. Unfortunately, for us, Blake ******* James is a moron and has handcuffed this program once again with the extended contract for years to come.

You realize though Blake James is just the lackey of the BOT

It’s pretty much common knowledge Richt will be “highly suggested” to improve the offensive staff and bring in an uptempo playcaller as well as OL coach. If he doubles down and says no, then you best believe UM and the BOT will have figured out a way to not pay the rest of his contract if Richt and the 2019 team crap the bed again

I do realize this; however, I also realize with Golden, Blake James and the “powerful” BOT were not able to convince Golden to change anything.

What I know is mark richt,the head coach told him that he wanted him as our starter before camp started & even after his injury. You can go with whatever theory you want. If you honestly believe he wanted Mr incompletion on bubble screens or evan shot the sherrifs as the starter than you feel free. That's ur choice what you believe. I know he never thought brad was gonna leave & when he did he pulled jack in & TOLD him it's his show now & step up to take it.

The board wasnt as hands on at that point because shalalalalalala was always the calming voice in goldens corner where she was just trying to keep us out of the media. On top of that the man extorted us flat out with the timing of that penn st firing. Hindsight wish to god he wouldve been wanted there or just left (however that situation with penn st really was) boy did that fvck us. It's also how he was able to keep no d on staff.

I don’t doubt that Richt wanted him to win the job, but you and I both know that wasn’t going to happen.

From my understanding his father was a lil too hands on. Didnt like how his son was being handled & didnt agree with criticism & what he had to work on throughout down time. This staff & how butch handled things are night and day. Butch was very direct. No fvcks given when it came to what he wanted out of you & what u needed to work on. This staff (atleast on the offensive side of the ball) has an *** backwards way of achieving a set objective. Gotta say this is a first time I've ever had to be on this side of the coin. Whether it's this staff or any other I really dont like it. But i always try to remind them that this is a team game & the staff has a whole lot of egos to massage. Not just theirs... i just dont want any of those prodded egos to be staff members as well.

I have never said my 2 cents on that. People make assumptions of their own. I think he didnt realize how worthless his son was as a qb coach until that point once he realized the qb room not only didnt progress but it regressed. I think he hoped jack was gonna step up or vinny Jr was better than he was. Than he also was dealt the blow of just how bad our oline actually was. Just seems it was one guy punch after another since hes been here & without the core in place he keeps having to adapt. He hoped nkosi was more mature & he ISNT... malik was gifted that job & there was never an intention of him playing here. He tried to run him off just the year before. Now u have what I KNOW & MY OPINION...

Sounds as if Richt is constantly playing catch up and isn’t ahead of things.

My only issue with richt himself is hes being too friendly with this staff. Theres a few spots that dont need to be here. The man knows football. Cant tell me he doesnt realize they are lacking. I dont mean from a recruiting standpoint. I mean as coaches. A coach puts his players in the best possible position from snap to snap to see his players excell & he develops them to their peaks. That's not happening in all instances with us.

He’s too soft and loyal. He puts his staff and son before the program.

Except the staff for the most part is more then fine. Think about the hate Banda and Rumph got for years and I wasn't with that because I saw good coaching but many bashed them, Simpson was getting put down too and Dugans for a while and they all panned out. Now nepotism is the problem and control issues so if he lets go of his pride and lets a qb/oc come in and let him be CEO of the team this time next year we'll be packing up for ACCCG

Agree that we would be a good team if he did that, plus get a new OL coach. But those are really big ifs. Hope he does it.
