I swear to God we have the most incompetent men/women running this program. We're always trying to take the short cut in doing things and that's why we're screwed now.

"We don't need a new stadium, we have a "new" facility some 30 miles aways in the middle of nowhere where traffic is not "that" bad."

"We don't need an IPF! Why, we just installed new lights and turf on our old practice field."

"We don't need a proven coach....why we can simply hire an average coach and allow him to utilize the product around him and then he'll be good and we won't have to pay full price for it either."

I hate this Admin to my soul!

There's only two guys that have been mentioned that it CAN'T be...Strong and Cristobal.

And ironically our incompetent administration loves them both. It's no accident we've had 3 straight ****** coaching staffs.

How many times has a HC failed so badly that he's been run off after 2 years? I can't remember seeing that, but Charlie Wrong is on the way to making history.
 
So we are waiting for someone to fail and get fired.
That's what we are zeroing in on.
That's our second choice since Mine Shula was inexplicably our first choice.

What really got me is "they are waiting to see if he is fired". They obviously don't want him enough to pay any extra for him, but if he's free they will take him. Not a **** thing has changed. We are still going to be cheap. If he's not good enough that you won't buy out his contract, you must not want him too bad.

Tom Herman would probably be the top choice if he didn't have a $2 million buyout

Also, Texas doesn't end their season until Dec 5. That's an extra week and several teams will already have coaches by then. We will be left sitting with Strong or nothing. Who knows what they think about Butch, if he's a no go then it's Strong or Mario. Hope to god they would take Butch if all else fails, it might be best at this point.
 
I do hope Charlie continues to flame out and gets fired. And I do hope that UM hires him........as DC.

If vt got strong and we dont end up withbutch he def gun pull in sfla studs. I know everyone doesnt like him but part ofme says he woukd do well here its just the fit seems like it works. Maybe im wrong butstill butch hands down should get the job not even close
 
If you want free u get Butch, wtf am i missing here. We are going for a fired HC? I will not overlook those beat downs he's taking this season. Its just not possible with good coaches

Let's clear this up. Strong was obviously a hot commodity coming out of UL. I can't argue he's a bad fit at Texas, he would do better at Miami, no doubt. His offense and defense are ranked in the 100s right now. I can almost understand the offense, they switched QBs and OC and run a completely different style of O than they did all offseason, that is still on Strong. He is supposed to be a defensive coach and his defense is in the 100s, glaring red flag. Maybe he just can't match up against all the spread offenses? Idk. Just doesn't look good.

Obviously he had success with Teddy at UL, people say he did nothing without Teddy, but give him credit where it's due, he recruited him there. But at the same time, don't let the "bad fit" at Texas give him a pass, no excuse to lose at Texas like he is. If our admin is dumb enough to take another chance on this hire, that's on them. I'll get behind Strong and give him a chance to prove me wrong, but he's literally got 1 year in my mind. He either does good in year 1 and I'm fine with it, but if he does bad.. He's lost me and I would imaging most of the fan base.

The roster is here to hit the ground running, he's got a good QB at UM, no excuses at all. Either put up or shut up. Then again, all these reports could be completely fake. I'm just going out on a limb though and saying this is 100% legit in these reports.
 
herman would probably have texas with 2 losses max his first season and possibly undefeated his second

but nope, strong is the man
 
I'll look past strong record at Texas due to knowing this area is his bread and butter. Strong would be a steal.
