Trevor darling and jahair jones will be at practice Tuesday

From Miami herald buzz

) Two quick updates on UM spring football practice, which begins Tuesday: UM says Trevor Darling and Jahair Jones --- who were arrested last week --- will be at practice Tuesday. So they're not suspended. Here was Susan Miller Degnan's story on where the case stands:

Also, linebacker Darrion Owens and offensive tackle Sonny Odogwu will be limited throughout spring practice. Both are believed to have knee issues, with Owens coming off knee surgery.

Great news that Owens is at least back enough that he can participate in a limited manner.

What they did seems pretty minor. Glad to see coach richt has their back (assuming they aren't suspended for the first game).

Shouldn't matter this year, playing 3 warmup games for the first 3 of the season

Glad they will be getting reps. We need that line to step up in a major way, and without some stud frosh coming in hopefully it comes in the form of getting a set 5 and building some cohesive trench mentalities.

I agree..except the only thing that I will say is that the biggest problem that most of us said last year's OLine had was continuity..they switched around way too much and never settled into a position...So i would like to start Game 1 (even if its FAMU) with all of our expected starters for the full season in place...that way when we get to the meat of the schedule everyone has gel'd into their role.

I thought the problem was the lack of a true LT and that Alex Gall liked giving out hugs too much...but they did move around a lot hurting cohesiveness

Good. The way SMD was reporting this I thought they both may get the death penalty.

here's where the reporting is poor, as always. Jackson says: "Ballyhooed freshman Mark Walton averaged just 3.5 yards per carry and said he improved only when he stopped trying to appease the former coaches". What does this mean? How was he trying to appease them? Come on Barry.

My guess is something similar to the end of the first half against VT. The coaches were trying to run out the clock, but VT called timeouts, which would force Miami to punt. (there may have been a penalty in there too) Kaaya went deep to Scott and scored a TD.

Mark Walton may have been coached not to bounce outside or stay in to block longer before peeling off on a pass. (just throwing scenarios out, i have no idea)

respectfully, doesn't that warrant no response at all, if you have no idea?

How do you appease a coach as a RB?? Pretty sure he said stopped listening not appease

We were NEVER thug U. That was BS made up by rival schools to make us look bad. We won with talent, speed, good coaching, and attitude. Not by having a team full of thugs. We need guys that can play football, period.
great news

return of thug u

we need guys like this if we are going to win a title

we need to go get those two linebackers back who we kicked off the team last year

@ App St. is not a warm up. They won 11 games last year, crappy conference or not.

I can't wait till UM fans can stop being total pu$$ies. We actually have guys trying to prop up a team that was 1AA a couple years ago?

Kinda like when USF beat us?
