Ped STate vs Purdue

However, that was negated by a chop, & if I’m being honest, it looked like the block below the waste happened prior to the defender being engaged. Regardless, it was that call that negated Purdue’s march down field & gave PSU’s def new life to get the ball back.

That and that Purdue QB despite his good season last year is not a good QB. Weak arm, can’t make some easy throws because he has terrible foot work and a suspect arm.

He’s good for Brohm’s system though. Their whole offense is built on the short passing game and just taking whatever the defense gives you. If they have to throw 65 5 yard passes, they will. It’s good for them because they don’t have the talent to go head to head with most big 10 teams. The downside is that when they get into the red zone, it’s really easy to defend the short passing game when the opponent can’t run. It’s why they end up kicking so many field goals.

Agree totally with what you said. I was just ****ed he let that one ball hang up do to his weak arm in the end when the guy was way open and allowed the defender to come back and catch up.
