1. Only 3ypc for Purdue?
2. No runs over 9 yards

One thing I'm not surprised by. Manny still gave up 30+ and 350+ yards passing.

Being on the other side of this is just amazing to watch from a far.

I can’t remember wanting to watch a former (failed) coach here more at a next stop. I legitimately get some laughs watching manny’s defenses perform. Last night was no different with dudes wide open all night.

One thing that I didn’t see that is my favorite for comedy….. the delayed blitz package where he sends someone from Philadelphia. I look forward to seeing that one

One thing I'm not surprised by. Manny still gave up 30+ and 350+ yards passing.

1 - Purdue was dead last in yards per carry last season in all CFB. 130th out of 130 with 2.8 ypc overally but 2.6 vs P5 teams (2.3 against FBS teams with winning records). Losing your top 3 WR in David Bell, Milton Wright and Jackson Anthrop probably doesn’t help the running situation this year with less talent outside, especially when it’s the same stable of RBs returning who were bad last season.
2 - Brohm didn’t even try to run the ball. The rest of the B1G conference won’t be as accommodating.

I’ll take my Penn St -3 money all day, But that team stinks. Fade material against teams with a pulse on defense…Heck I thought they’d beat Auburn pretty handily, but now I’m not sure…

O’Connell isn’t a bad QB, but he has low IQ. Kept continuously targeting a first-round draft pick at DB.

VT -6 vs. ODU today…ODU has received 34% of bets but 78%!!!! Of the money. Spread has taken a nosedive from 8.5 to 6. I know ODU thoroughly beat them by 14 back in 2018, but that’s all pro money on the Monarchs.

Last year Purdue was second in the Big Ten in passing behind OSU, at 354 a game. They also couldn’t run the ball for ****.

That game basically played out as It was supposed to.

I really hope that Manny, who I don't think is a dummy, does some self-assessment of his defense and where it went wrong, and makes the changes or adaptations necessary. Otherwise, he could find himself as a position coach and not a coordinator.
