Just picked up his first commit from a DB and it's some nobody from Alabama. Coupled with his inability to teach our DBs how to play the ball, this dude needs to be fired.

No offense to the kid from Alabama, because his film looks alright. But you (as a staff), have the deepest talent pool in your backyard, yet go for an at best "decent" corner in another state? It's like Golden's trying to get fired.
 
Betting on hidden gems is a bad bet. It's like buying Insurance in Blackjack. Just take the loss and keep playing the game the right way.
 
Paul Williams is trash. Hope he's gone after this season with Dorito and Jethro.

Someone gimme a short list for dbs we arent heavily pursuing that are better please

So far ive got d.davis, c.davis, hoggins..I know theres atleast 5 more that im drawing a blank on

I have to guess you are right, sarcasm. We are 17th according to Scout, only due to quantity. We are 26th if you go by avg star. UF's class is similar to ours, albeit smaller. Although Muskrat has at least proven that him and his staff can close unlike Golden and his staff.

This class is already average at best and we haven't even had Golden's failure at closing yet. I'm sure we'll pull some more diamonds in the rough away from some MAC school and lose a few more 4 stars to the SEC/FSU. Not that we have many to lose this year.

Inexcusable when you have so much talent within a few hours of your campus. Not that it really matters because Golden doesn't set the 5 stars up in a scheme to excel anyhow. Why fail with 5 stars when you can fail with 3 stars and then blame the talent level?

Do you honestly believe we are the 9th best pass defense? Aside from what statistics say, what do your eyes tell you?

Is that based on yards per game? I'm sure the fact that teams like GT and Nebraska are purely running teams have nothing to do with that. When teams can rush for 200+ a game they have no need to pass. Similarly to what our offensive game plan against VT was.

We'll see where we sit after UNC/FSU the next two weeks.
