All media, including social media is just rage bait these days. It gets clicks, views, ratings, whatever. Once you realize that, you’ll stop getting so mad at everything. Their whole goal is to get you riled up. Apparently angry people tune in at even higher rates than people who are actually entertained. It’s why news reporting has been replaced with news “discussion” shows. Reporting facts doesn’t get the ratings that inflammatory opinions do.

I don’t watch any msm , sports included. I like to watch / hear breakdowns of X’s O’s or stories from players / wrestlers hay days. That’s my go to now for my entertainment . The hot take has ruined sports journalism. It’s either hot takes or media defending powerful athletes they’re too scared to call out because they don’t want to lose access. I don’t care about your opinions on sports , is no more important than mine

Disagree. I don’t like him, but I respect him for having the balls to actually call people out and go after people. The entire media is a bunch of kiss-asses. Nobody wants to **** anyone off. I’ll give it to Paul, he DGAF. I respect that. Flame me all you want. I don’t ever watch him or listen to him but he has a DGAF gene that VERY few do. Wish we had more of that.

EVERYONE can’t be great. He’s not afraid to say that out loud. (And this is the reason I can’t stand **** Vitale by the way. Not every kid and coach is a gift to the world. Some people suck. Sorry.)

Fair point. Example being the whole Bronny James clown show. Anyone with a lick of sense knows that guy isn’t an nba player. If his daddy was different he’d be at Richmond ( if that ) for four years. But listening to espn and all their “ insiders “ you’d think he’s a legit prospect lol. Because they know if they don’t kiss the ring the King and Klutch sports will be calling. Scouts won’t put their names on their scouting reports because of fear. Ryen Russillo is one of the few that’ll openly roll his eyes and laugh at it. Well, him and unnamed sources around the league lol.

Nobody is getting on TV or radio, at least with a national audience, and calling the Bronny farce out. Cause you’re right, they’re not gonna bite the hand that feeds them. It’s the reason I loved South Park back in the day when it was so good. They called out who needed to be called out. Not everyone is great and awesome and wonderful. People ******* suck. And I respect anyone who has the balls to bring attention to that, because 99.9% of the “media” absolutely will not.

Kwame Brown calls it the “ the go along , get along gang “. Everyone wants to be part of the cool group and doesn’t want to say anything that could jeopardize access / money. Hence why journalism died years ago.

The DGAF is theater. Finebaum doesn't have an independent non-SEC-centric thing to say anymore.

The only thing Paul doesn't give a **** about any longer is the world knowing that he is an SEC puppet.

Listen to him every day for various reasons. The callers are wild and pure entertainment. Finebaum himself has a backbone and there is a lot to be said for it. He’s also a total homer towards the SEC but has built his career on that. His giveaway is if he trashes your team, it’s a strong indicator he knows that they are on the rise and does so because he deems them as a threat to the SEC. When it comes to Miami, he knows that if it ever gets rolling here again that his SEC will be in the rear view mirror. He’s terrified of Miami and have learned to take his hatred towards us as optimism.

the nba has revolved around lebron's wants and needs for years, why would they stop now? Honestly, I cant wait until he retires.
