As an admin employee, I can say that Dr. Whitley is hard working and fiercely protective of the University of Miami. That being said, she is also the most unpleasant person to be around and I'd rather lick a cactus then be in the same room with her. She views the football team as a distraction to the school. From what I've heard, AQM beat the kid pretty badly. Her decision seems a little extreme but I don't have the facts she does. AQM would had to have been pretty brutal to get this as a punishment.

She should go work for a private liberal arts school with no sports, then. If you can't embrace everything that is part of the college experience at a school like UM, you don't belong working there, period.

Miami is a multi sport Division I University, if she doesn't like sports, get the **** out.
 
Students need to get a bunch of cutouts of her head, wave them around the student section for the next UM home game.

Can I blame Shalala for having people like this, who are openly against the football team, around?

Or would that go against the academics over everything else people?

Especially when it's the football team that helped put the university where it is in the first place.
 
Then again he could take some responsibility for what he did. Or maybe didn't do. See that's the thing. Most of us have no frigin idea what happened. For all I know he got screwed. For all I know most other schools would have expelled him. No clue. Just see a lot of assumptions and hate. And yes of course I want aqm on the field.

The question to me is what are the true facts of what happened, not the football loving or football hating colored glasses.

The other kid instigated it, AQM responded. Simple as that. If AQM gets punished so should the kid with the broken nose.

unfortunately, AQM had A LOT more to lose. or at least a lot more for school to take away than the other roommate.
