There were so many “key” plays to the game and you could easily say the ****** LBer play cost us the game but I look at a special teams play as perhaps the pivotal moment in the game.

Manny is faced with a 4th and about a yard and a half. Go for it and potentially ice the game or kick it and pin them deep.

Manny makes the right call, IMO and decides to let his all American punter pin them deep and force them to drive the length of the field.

Lou kicks yet another perfect punt. The ball hits inside the 20 and the punt returner opts to let it bounce.

Every special teams coach in the country teaches their gunners when the see the fair catch call inside the 20 to run to the goal line and keep that ball out of the end zone.

Couch and Avante Williams stand next to the return guy and watch the ball bounce and run into the end zone.

It was a perfect kick and FSU should have started that drive inside their 5. Instead they get the touchback and then we let a receiver get behind our safeties. The whole final drive was a tutorial on how to get fired as a football coach. That said the special teams *** up set the table.

Patke should be drawn and quartered.

that play had no bearing considering they got a 60 yd play right after.

And LOL @ you thinking he aint teach that...when we literally downed 1 at the one inch line earlier.

For some reason yall are afraid to get on these players....THEY ARENT THAT GOOD!..THEY ARE DUMB ON THE FIELD (REGARDLESS OF COACHING) and are overrated coming in regardless.

I mean im being 100% honest when i say this....WE HAVE FCS LEVEL LB GROUP...NOT GROUP OF 5...FCS. tHAT FALLS ON mANNY dIAZ HE SHOULD BE FIRED FOR THE SIMPLE REASON IS ...ITS HIS UNIT AND THEY BASICALLY ARE NOT A MINIMUM ACC LEVEL. F8ckin Patke has no bearing on this program ...its the bum hc

It's a symptom of the root problem - the entire **** show being run out of the Hecht.

* BOT that doesn't care
* Unqualified AD allowed to pick an unqualified Corch who has allowed the fuc%ery to continue

Zero Accountability from top to bottom.

Tbh we should of gone for it. Now I'm not saying it is a bad decision to kick it, but going for it would have been better.

It was 4th and 1 and we were like at the 40-45 yard line. First if we don't get a yard on FSU we don't deserve to win, period. Second even if they get the ball at the 45, they need a touchdown to win, so being close to field goal range does not matter. It actually may help because if they score it should give us time for an attempt to score as well and once you get closer to the endzone it is harder to draw up plays for the TD, especially in the passing game.

Now once they made the decision to punt there is no way you can just look at the returner and stay in front of him. Two guys should always been trained to get behind him for if he doesn't catch it or he muffs it. This is common sense.

Playing the results a little bit but this is a solid take.

They picked up 59 yards on their first play so...I guess we would have had more time to come back?
