I’ve seen a smattering of comments in both D staff threads about this move. Can anyone shed light on his qualifications? Has he ever done it before? What are his philosophies ST wise? This is a critical part of getting back to where we all want to be. Give some insight if you got it!

major mistake not taking it serious, need a special teams coordinator to do just that. to have patke do special teams and coach linebackers is a lot on his plate for him to be so inexperienced.

His philosophies? Block the punt, return the punt for a touchdown, don't get your punt blocked, return kickoff for a touchdown, don't let the other team return kickoff for a touchdown, keep the **** kickoff inbounds, block FG, make your FG's.......

He teaches on a side of the ball that tackles. Better than before in my eyes. I'm in.

How I feel: Like he has absolutely no business being a coach here. But if he is he's gotta step the **** up with Special Teams. One of he or Banda had to take over special teams, its the only thing that makes any sense at all.
