He knows we are run correct, I disagree and sometimes am upset at recruiting but I know we have a good CEO HC. And that wins you games in college, talent wins games period. But I will never slurp pause, I will disagree with takes and not sunshine pump anyone he grabs (not one of those types of fans)

But Pate knows we have a good football coach and he says it all the time. Is it going to be enough to get to tier 1? We will see. I know we won’t hire anything better though afterward. So I hope he recruits relentlessly like he always does, I will never doubt the effort from Mario. Although I will complain lol

I agree Mario is doing his thing the correct way. There is no quick fix to build the roster they way he wants it.

Unfortunately there were many recruiting misses such that the DL is not the same strength as the OL. I give Mario a pass on his first transition class, he only had a few weeks. He's done well since, but this season we need to see a jump from the 2023-2024 DL classes, and a healthy Bain. Would not mind Lowe being 2025's 'Bain', where he excels in his role as a TF.

If this Simpson kid is the truth that changes the dynamics of the DL imo. They talked about him like he was a star type of player. If Scott is that five star it changes everything. Those two I am watching. I think the secondary is great tbh. And I hope Wiley get some burn I want to see Wiley

The Notre Dame game is going to tell us a LOT on both sides of the ball. We will be tested. If we pass the test in a really good way and come out with the dub, the sky is the limit.

Provided we don't sh*t the bed against GTech and Syracuse.

At home. Which we're liable to do. Because Miami. Where we can't have nice things.

Sometimes the ACC is goofy and have some good teams like a Syracuse that are overlooked. If an SEC team did that last year it was cause the SEC is good. But its the ACC so it doesn't get the same propaganda

No GT this year but I get your point… I’m not worried about Syracuse we’re going to beat their *** just off of the embarrassment from last season. The last 3 games concern me… NcSt at home… Ced Bailey comes home with a point to prove and we’re on our high horse from beating Syracuse the week before. Last home game too.

At VT and Pitt to end the season… late November games in the cold. It would be very “Miami” of us… you know what, nevermind.

if that DL steps up, the defense I expect to be better than the offense this year. I feel like roles will be reversed from last year where as the offense might struggle but the defense could be top 10. But I do think if the offense is decent we can be really good, it should be a top 25 offense

I think offense should be good but it just won't be video game level good like last year. We have too much inexperience to be top level on O but we have some talent. I like Lyle, Trader, Toney, and Lofton to make some noise with a steady OL/Beck combo.

I always laugh when people thought this was gonna be a quick fix… this thing has been broken for awhile with a bad taste in peoples mouths. We’ve lost traction with the top kids because let’s be honest they barley even saw Duke Johnson running the **** ball let alone Clinton Portia and Mcgahee in natty games.

We can at least look at Michigan and Texas as teams that took awhile to turn the **** corner and get lift off… last year was a amazing opportunity to be ahead of them but alas we just didn’t have a defensive coordinator with a ****. Big year for Mario… zero excuses for not making the playoffs… absolutely none in my eyes

listen if we won ten and didnt make the playoffs im still good with that trajectory

You worried about those 3 teams? Who does ncstate and vt even have left on the roster? They lost all their best players

Honestly… had us going 10-2 last season and I thought we’d drop to UF and Louisville pre-season. After we beat the sh*t out of UF I certainly didn’t think there was anyway GT would beat us and after Louisville although I had major concerns for the defense I thought we’d figure our sh*t out at least for the regular season. NCSt game has more to do with when it is than who it is… and as much I hate it we’ve had a tendency to lose to teams we have no business losing to. Hope we get over that this year.

Our record in November the last few years does not bode well for us.

I’m not too worried about NC State, but I do think they will be better than last year. VT absolutely concerns me. They have a pretty good group returning. They always give us fits in Blacksburg. They will also be a “revenge” game for them after how last years game ended. Pitt will also be up to play us as they usually are.

I’m not saying we are going to lose to VT or Pitt, but I don’t think we are going to go in there and steamroll either of them.

I might change my mind as the season progresses. If either of those teams implode during the season, I might feel a little more confident about an easy win. Until then, I’m not overlooking any of our P4 conference rivals.
