Pat Hill Fired at Fresno St...

Sad to see this happen.
Hill is a solid coach who had very little to work with regards to budget, resources, etc.
In fact, I think I read somewhere that he voluntarily asked for, and got, a pay cut last season because
of the budget/financial problems with the California universities.
At one point several years ago he probably could've landed a much bigger job, but stayed true to
FSU.
Now he's canned.
He's a poster-boy as to why coaches are never loyal to their current gig, always looking for
better opportunities.

Pat Hill gave 110% to Fresno State and could have named his job 4-5 years ago. Who's going to take a HC job at a state school in a bankrupt state? He did take a voluntary pay cut.

Talk about coaching trees, lots of great coaches have cut their teeth under him.
Really sorry to hear about this.
A school like UCLA could do worse in hiring him.

Fresno should be embarrassed
He gave them credibility and national recognition from pure obscurity
He always had that team playing their asses off

Hill is one of the good guys in cfb. He's the one that recommend Jim McElwain (Bama's OC) to Saban.

Pat Hill also struggled to replace Frank Signetti at OC when he left Fresno State for Rutgers.
