Naw he doesn’t need it. The allegations are stupid but ultimately pretty tame we won big at Northwesten, not lately but recently enough that a program like Syracuse or Indiana would hire before the end of the year.

Unless his lawyers prove he had absolutely zero to do with the allegations, there is zero chance of a head coaching gig in the next two years. Saban's house of rehab will speed up his head coaching prospects.
 
Would expect eventually reaches a settlement with Northwestern. If not resurrected by Saban or another high-profile program, then ends up on an NFL staff.
 
I don't see it happening with the Alabama Rehab program as Fitzgerald doesn't bring much as far as the technical side of football.
Contrast this with Bill O'Brien, Lane Kiffen, Sarkisian, Marrone, Cristobal, Kyle Flood, Strong, etc who brought expertise to Saban's program.
I think his next stop is NFL where gets to add to his resume and possibly return to college game in a few years.

If he doesn’t coach in the next 2 years it will be his choice not because anyone is scoffing at hiring him.

Hugh Freeze had another job within 18 months after he left Ole Miss. He was found guilty of NCAA Violations and calling escorts on his school provided cell phone

Will Wade had another within 18 months after he left LSU and he was on a fbi wiretap and has a current ncaa show clause.

Bobby Petrino, **** how many times has been fired and hired again?

What do all these guys got in common? They lost their jobs not because of there W/L record.

Now can you name anymore who has gone thru the Saban rehab program that wasn’t fired for W/L? Butch Jones, Lane Kiffin, Charlie Strong, Major Applewhite, Sark, Kevin Sumlin, Mike Groh, Sunbelt Billy, Mike Locksley all were canned for poor performances.

Butch left Miami for the NFL and was fired at UNC for a recruiting/academic scandal. One from he was later exonerated.

Forget FIU. Butch retired, and the program might as well fold.

I'm not really sure what Fitzgerald brings to the table for Saban. He's a LB coach turned rah-rah cheerleader HC. Most of the Saban rehab projects are X and O savants who bring actual coaching acumen to the meeting/film rooms. Not to discredit what Fitzgerald did as a head coach, having a winning record at Northwestern isn't a joke. It's just that I don't see him adding anything to Alabama.
