The biggest difference yesterday, IMO, was the amount of time Jarren had to throw. He had time to let those slow playactions develop; he had time to scan the field and find open short routes; he had time to unwind for long balls and threw a few absolute gems as a result. I saw Deejay make one phenomenal block pickup after another, but he hustles like that every game. So for those who understand the X's and O's of blocking more than I do, what was the difference last night? Did FSU just suck? I'd have a hard time believing it could be nothing but that, as regardless of how bad they've been this year, that is a much more talented defensive front 7 than several other teams who had their way with us in the trenches and gave our QB zero time. What did we do different last night that lead to such solid pass protection?
