Pass blocking

Van dime has great pocket presence, our tackles, Zion and Jarrid, are good, and Van dime also gets the ball out quickly. Also, King was so small and constantly had to move around to see over the line. Our short throws have gotten a lot better with Tyler.

It’s funny how the OL looks better when you have a QB and RB that can pick up yards.

The OL looks a lot better when the QB doesn’t sack himself. It looks better when the QB can read the D and still hit a TD with someone about to hit him from a bust in the blocking. Looks a lot better when the QB gets rid of the ball instead of taking sacks. The QB being able to run the RPO and not setting up third and long over and over...not that TVD cares about third and long.

The better passing game has opened up the run. When you have an RB that doesn’t run into the back of the OL and instead cuts it outside for 8 yards makes it look like better blocking. Now we see a lot more 4-5 man fronts instead of 6-7.

The OL is not much different. There is always more going on than people see. A lot more going on.

Helps to have a center now that knows how to call sets for the OL also

Sounds like Tua lol

Maybe it’s van dimes, maybe it’s something else…

We still can’t run block for ****, but the the
Pass blocking recently has been good to very good.

Just an observation
We run essentially 2 run plays. Inside zone and inside trap. Unless you have an overmatched defensive front you think we are going to be successful?

Lashlee said FSU dline is best we have seen since Ala/Mich st.. Lets see if these guys hold up against real competition..

They been playing better since we had to shuffle the oline due to injuries and stupid offseason moves..

TVD is working towards that Danny type quick release. But, he's the package starting with he believes in his ability, knows the playbook - has that ****iness. So, that helps in making quick decisions and keeps him in the pocket, rather than having happy feet and flushing. Along with that quick release, it makes a world of difference for the OL.

Speaking of the dolphins they are boring as **** to watch if anyone is having trouble sleeping watch the dolphins for like 30 minutes those mf will put you out
Flores is my guy but hes trying to rebuild this team in the Pats image and it aint working. Ultimately, that Watson trade not going through is going to get him fired I think after next season if he doesnt make the playoffs. ****, they might fire him this season. That Dolphins team is awful.

Anyway, I have always been a fan of JWilliams and Zion at OT. People thought Scaife was better than JWilliams and I didnt see it. There is a reason why TVD isnt getting blindsided. Now our OG play still needs alot of work. We will be somewhat tested but folks are talking about KThomas and JJohnson like we should be losing sleep at night over them. I trust our OTs will show up and take care of business. This isnt "Will Anderson/Christopher Allen 2.0" here we will be facing on Saturday.

And for the people saying TVD is getting the ball out quicker...how many bombs have we connected on since hes been the QB? We connect on at least 2-3 per game now, maybe more. Throwing those bombs requires the OL to provide enough time for him to even connect with them. Quick throws have been happening which help the OL but they have been very good in pass pro. Nothing wrong with giving them those props.
