Parking. Orange gone.

I know some people are fond of opening their mouths to spew excrement every time I raise the strategic and existential reasons for having our own stadium WHEREVER THAT MAY BE, but here are the very real impacts, no matter how much some of you love to rhapsodize on what a great venue Hard Rock is.

Let me spew some more excrement and say the likelihood of us getting our own stadium (located where btw?) in our lifetimes is virtually zero. So why even rage about it?

Just talked to them as I forgot to renew for Hurricane Club. Apparently, Orange is in fact sold out.

Why?

Look around Miami. Probably only second to Las Vegas in the "tear **** down to build something new" category of US cities. With LA and NYC close behind.

This ridiculous concept that we can never find a spot to build a stadium needs to stop. Figure out the spot, and then let the Mas brothers do the heavy lifting for us on zoning, permits, etc. Did anyone ever think Melreese would become the Inter Miami stadium, before guys with vision started to push for it?

Sure, if we let everyone tell us that it'll never happen, then it will never happen. And I'm not saying it will happen. I haven't been asked to contribute money yet, so nothing is imminent.

But as shabbily as we are treated by Ross and the Dolphins, we at least need to have the conversation, regardless of the lease term. I find it amusing that people believe that we can't get out of a lease early.

Everything is up for negotiation. Everything should be up for a conversation. But we need to have those conversations, rather than to say "why bother".

You may not agree but the fact is we don’t need a stadium.

Weigh out the pro and cons. All that money and investment:

what impact will it have on recruiting? Barely any , we are recruiting at a top level already. That money used in nil will have greater impact the any stadium

Attendance? I’m sure attendance would improve but by how much? It wouldn’t be some huge improvement and the further south you move, the more Broward and WPB attendance will drop.

Parking? Despite all changes to hrs, there is still a huge area for parking a/tailgates. Will whatever proposed spot have the same?

The big bowl games will likely still be at hrs, not our new home stadium. So the benefit of say, playing the Natty at home goes away.

UM having its own stadium would be awesome, but I don’t think it’s very high on the list of needs for the school or for the big money donors.

CIS needs to ******* fix the Orange for real. Ive been trying to click Orange for a god **** decade on this **** website and it still doesn't work.

I have tickets in club level and have to donate $500 to buy the tickets. I’m assuming that’s standard for club level but don’t know
I'm Club Level (Section 241) and it only requires me to donate $250.00 when I buy my season tickets.
I think different sections require higher donations even on the same level.

This is only my second season as a ticket holder - got Orange Lot the first season no problem.
Got Orange Lot this season last Wednesday at my assigned time (noon) with no problem.

P.S. I LOVE your avatar.

The why is because none of this is up to you or me, and the people who would have to move this forward are really not that interested and are fairly content where they are.

Additionally, from my perspective, most fans like myself are perfectly happy with our location and its convenience.

Sure, it’s not perfect, the parking is a cluster, but that’s really about it. Location is fine, and like I said, from my experience only a small minority of people that actually attend games want to go anywhere else. That’s just my view. I know yours is different but I’m fine where we are.

I respect your passion for this, and I wouldn’t be opposed to having our own stadium, but I just don’t see it. And that’s not even talking about what it would cost to build one which we’re really looking at a billion or more and the ROI would be questionable. Again, this is just my view. I know yours is different.
