I had lunch at Farinelli's and parked at the lot next to it on 3140 Grand Avenue (near Matilda Street). I used the parking app but inadvertently used the license plate of another car I own. It turns out the lot is privately owned and on top of paying $15.25, they billed me an additional $100, even though I explained to them what happened and showed them proof of payment. Bottom line, its a scam, but apparently its a legal scam. Best thing to do is avoid that lot.
