Live out of town, coming to the game Saturday with 2 70+ year old relatives in tow. Didn’t realize parking was more complicated than just driving there.

Any tips for how to proceed? I think we can afford to somewhat spend our way through problems. The elderly people can walk so it’s not a handicapped situation but they probably don’t have miles in them.

Thanks! Let’s bury the Norvell era Saturday.

If you dont have a parking pass..I would look into hiring a personal driver to take you there and back. I have done that in the past. Worked out perfect. Uber lot is too far for 2 elderly after the game especially when its chaotic. And I guess you can take a taxi but depending on how far you are from the stadium..that could get expensive. I know people talk about Lot 70 which is the shuttle from Hard Rock Guitar Hotel..but that only works if you are coming from the north.

Consider the following. The Orange and Green lots on the east side of the stadium will probably get you the closest to the stadium. The Orange Lot parks people as they arrive, so you get the closest to the stadium by arriving the earliest. Green Lot allows people (alums) to group together for tailgating, so if you want to get closer to the stadium, you will have to hunt.

Obviously, early arrival is complicated if you don't have a tailgate tent. If you go into the stadium early, there are plenty of places on the concourse to just sit and eat and drink. Also, depending on your seats, you may have amenities. For instance, seats in Sections 117, 118, and 119 have a club area under the stadium.

Hydrate and wear hats.

If they can handle a quarter-mile-ish walk and some stairs, buy a resale parking pass in the Yellow Lot (currently around $180 on Ticketmaster) and get there a couple hours early. That's by far the easiest option, and it's not a hard walk for your average elderly person with no disabilities or injuries.

If you need to reduce walking to a minimum, get a resale pass in Green or Orange (currently around $360).

Avoid uber/taxi, unless you are able to pre-arrange something. Way too much of a hassle on the way out.

Each yellow parking lot has ADA stalls but it's a first come, first serve basis.

Orange parking lot on the west side, has a dedicated ADA section next to it but you need an additional parking pass for that dedicated area.

Unless you get some of these ADA stalls, be prepared to walk 1-2 miles each each way.

But even a green or orange pass can be a little far, unless you arrive right when the parking lots open.

per my friend who works parking, if you buy a black lot pass or an orange pass get there early and go to gate 6.

Even if you park in the absolute furthest row of the yellow lot, it's less than half a mile as the crow flies to the stadium gate. Just measured it on GIS. Obviously you can add a bit more for detours and stuff, but it's not a terrible walk if these people are in reasonably good shape. Orange and green are even closer. In every scenario, earlier arrival will cut down on walking distance.

If you have Club seats ... getting there early gives you the opportunity to sit in one of the great lounges with A/C, nice food offerings, drinks, carpeted lounges with TV's showing games. Orange lot pass would be perfect for that. I upgraded to Club back in my 60's ... now a memory.

My concern with club level, is I know myself. I'd end up staying inside the AC the entire time lol.

For that I'd be better off staying home.
