Parity Accomplished

With NIL and the CFP, for good or bad there is parity in college football. Three of the final four teams have never won a championship and we haven’t won since 2001. Will there be another dynasty team moving forward?

I said this when NIL was announced- Miami stands to benefit more than any team in the country from it (I could pull receipts on those who forcefully disagreed and said it only helped the Bamas and UGAs but my 2026 resolution is to be less petty). Miami needed to prove 2 things- having a winning program and getting guys drafted.

Top players went to the P2 because there was a perception that’s where they played the best football and it would help them get noticed by the nfl. Now they have the option of getting paid millions to play in a real city instead of some backwater college town , competing for a championship, and getting drafted as high as they would have if they played in the P2.

If Miami wins the championship this year, I think we win 2 more before the end of the decade.

The parity is amazing but there is one thing that worries me. The uncapped NIL and we start getting the CFB super teams. Texas is already trying it, Ohio state is another. This year could just be an outlier for some teams in the future that could legit compete in the CFL
