All-American closer Andrew Walters, who did not appear in Friday's save situation, is dealing with arm soreness and is considered day-to-day. The injury is not expected to be severe. Walters's last appearance was on March 4 at Florida when he threw two innings, 35 pitches. He is 1-0 with one save and has not allowed a run in 6 1/3 innings this season with 14 strikeouts and no walks.

Sounds like he needs rest. Arm soreness could mean many different things. Is it tightening of the forearm (a potential sign that the forearm muscles are overcompensating for a weaker muscle elsewhere)? Is it elbow pain (bad sign), but the UM Comms department chose to describe it as arm soreness?

Give him a couple of weeks off…if we lose Walters we are DOA as our staff is mediocre, at best.
