Overhyped busts

Well, there is an upside to not getting many top recruits; you don't get embarrassed when they bust.

**** Jeff driskel on there already lol he is not even done but list is quite accurate. i dont know about joe mcknight and Patrick turner being bust though.

The only reason McKnight and Turner are on there is b/c of the unreal hype that surrounded them coming out.

I don't know if you remember, but people were expecting for McKnight to be a better/faster version of Reggie Bush, and were expecting Turner to pick up where Mike Williams left off.

The only reasons them along with Jimmy Clausen were labeled "busts" was mainly b/c of the God like type hype that all the top scouts put on them that they could never live up to.

"People were calling Jimmy Clausen the Lebron James of HS football" LMAO

Marcus Forston was #7 overall recruit in 2008 class
Xavier Lee was #10 overall recruit in 2004 class
Lance Leggett was #21 overall recruit in 2004 class with Calvin Johnson #37.....
Ryan Moore was #7 overall recruit in the 2002 class
Akieem Jolla was # 76 overall recruit in the 2002 class

Contrary to what the haters think, Seantrel is not a bust.
Most of the 16 guys in that article did nothing in college. Like Perrilloux, Corp, Mustain.
And none of them were drafted in the first 3 rounds, if drafted at all.

Arguably, Seantrel is one of the most physically talented offensive tackles to enter the draft in years. He may have a 10 cent head and heart, but I'm sure ever Gm is thinking, "If we can push the right buttons with this kid we will have a 10 year Pro Bowl player."

Pretty bad list. Aaron Corp as one of the 15 biggest busts? Patrick Turner? I don't think anyone thought those guys were going to be all world players. ****, I thought Vidal Hazelton was a bigger bust than either of those two.

I remember the first time I saw Reggie Youngblood. I thought he had future NFL all pro written all over him.

A lot of you are saying, "Who?"

Exactly.

So the #1 recruit out of hs not starting all the games in his senior year is not a bust?

Not according to the parameters of that article.

Particularly, in a couple months when that player signs a multimillion dollar contract, which none of the 16 "busts" ever or have done.

Vidal was not in the last decade, like Kyle Wright.

minus Sean Spence who was the greatest LB we've had in a looooong time.

I played against that Oaks Christian team in high school in '06-07. Clausen was a smug little *****. Tyler was an animal. After we played them I thought Tyler would go on to have the better career, but then he broke his leg and fell off the face of the earth. That roster was nuts. I'm pretty sure they had like over 30 guys sign D1 scholarships between all 4-classes. The crazy thing is that none of them really panned out in college. Casey Matthews was probably the best of the bunch. They were good in high school, though.

Unless he's wearing a QB jacket, Aldarius might be the first D1 WR in history to have his jersey # physically extend outward due to gut size.
