How bout we take the FSU/Jared Verse route and pay Bain and Cici to come back next year?

So I'll go 1 in 2026....Beck

And several in 2027.

Since we're not able to have anything nice here and we know it, no chance Cici or Bain actually does this, so I'll go over 2.5 for next draft. Beck is going in the first-round. And Bain/Mauigoa are absolute locks provided they're both healthy all year.

Think Beck has a stigma on and off the field plus coming off the injury. The stigma is largely unwarranted in both fwiw

I would say he's the 3rd and he's definitely not far off. I'd say 2nd round now and clear path to play into the 1st.
 
Beck probably doesn’t have gaudy numbers here and we don’t need him to, to win. But he’ll need them to be a first rounder. Has to get the stench of the UGA 2024 season off of him.

2 is the safer bet. Miami hasn’t produced 2 let alone three first rounders in many years.

i like paying these guys to come back especially if we have unfinished business.

People also need to realize, NFL executives aren't gator twitter trolls. All this incessant bull**** that's spewed online about Beck is completely meaningless to the NFL. Can you play the position or not, and almost (more?) as important, do you have the measurables?

Beck checks every single box from a physical standpoint. All of them.
He's absolutely cerebral enough for the position.
He was the #1 overall pick after the 2023 season. 2024 obviously didn't go as well, but I think if he doesn't tear his elbow up, he's still probably a Day 2 pick.
If Miami goes 11-1 or 12-0 and he contributes bigly to that, he can EASILY play himself into the first round. It's not like he's 5'11 and has to set all-time NCAA records.

Jaxon Dart went in the first round. Beck won't have the volume Dart did last year, but he can put up similar numbers in terms of TD%, completion percentage, INT%, etc.

6'4 kids with NFL arms who have started 40 games in P4 leagues and won 90%+ of them don't grow on trees.
