I get that you're upset we lost, but try to be rational for a little. No one was expecting much this year from us. We outperformed many people's expectations. Everyone knew our QB sucked. We didn't have another option. You do know that players can be bad right? I just saw you post somewhere else that it was "obvious that all of our players are great and Richt sucks" or something to that effect. Your cluelessness is becoming lucid.

I don't understand this phenomenon of attempting to divide the fan base. Every time there is adversity some goofball starts a thread attempting to conflate support for the team/program with a cavalier attitude towards the faults of the head coach. For example this thread where apparently if as a fan you support Mark Richt then that makes you a "Richtlicker"

I'm a die hard Cane and always will be and I still believe in the big picture we are in a good place with Richt as the HC and have a very bright future. Does that mean I don't recognize his faults? No it doesn't. I'm going to give Richt a fair shot to upgrade the OL and QB position before I go overboard claiming he will never win a National Title here.

As of now, my biggest disappointment is the coaching staff (from a coaching aspect). When we hired Richt I thought we were getting a great SEC type staff, but honestly they are above average. Doesn't strike me as a team that is coached at a championship level except at DL, RB, and WR. DC, Play calling, LB, DBs, OL seem week to week. S&C program my opinion is below average. If you asked me whether I would have Felder or Swasey I might say Swasey... thats how physically weak we look right now.

DL got their shut pushed in the last three games in case you didn't happen to catch that. Zero pass rush and too many gash run plays.

Didn't outperform my expectations. Tell me.....what games should we have lost that we won? Curious. We competed down to our competition all year outside of 2 games. Defense regressed. Lost to a terrible PITT team and lost to pasty white Wisconsin team at our place.

I think Richt has helped change the culture but the scheme and execution on both sides of the ball were dog**** all year. Sorry but death struggles week in week out against middling acc teams isn't my idea of "overperforming".

That was uncalled for. There are problems with this offense that are glaringly obvious but I don't think those problems will define Richt's time here. Rosier absolutely cannot be our QB moving forward and this OL needs a serious overhaul. I trust that those issues will be addressed. If they are not or Richt cannot resolve them then it will be time to move on.

A lot of people thought we would lose Notre Dame, along with one random game. That's what I thought at least. I thought we'd beat FSU and VT, lose to ND and one other rando and go 10-2. However Malik performed worse than I thought he would. Death struggles are not overperforming, but we still managed to win with Rosier, which is clearly hard to do.

Did it actually though? I know we had a few bad games, but they played lights out for a lot of the year.

What does them being white have to do with it? Maybe we need more white guys like they have. If we had their o line we'd be a lot better.
 
I've been saying this since MR's hiring. As a Canes fan for 0ver 40 years, and also a person who lived in Georgia for 20 years, where UGA Football is King, I have been telling you guys, and many have ridiculed me about my MR observations over the past 2 years. The reality is that UGA got rid of MR due to his lack of winning consistency. Year in and year out UGA had top 5 Recruiting classes, and year in and year out MR managed to lose 2-3 games per year. Question- What has happened at the U for the past 2 years? 4 and 3 loses. What will happen at the U next year? You guessed it, 2-3 loses my fellow Canes fans. Everything we have seen wrong with Canes football over the past 2 years falls on MR, and is almost a re-write of his UGA Football tenure, period. One more year like this and MR steps away from CFB.
 
Our great and vaunted defense gave up an average of 32 points for the last 3 games. Record- 0-3. Diaz' greatest asset are not his adjustments, which he never makes until half time, but his MOUTH which he uses all the time! He is greatly overrated. Average DC at the most.

I’m really sorry for any of you who won’t/can’t see the positives from this season. I found myself strangely ok with the whole game last night, it was a perfect representation of where we are and what we still need (and where the country still is in terms of the U - the officials had multiple laughers). I also shook the hands of the Wisconsin fans in my section because their team outplayed ours last night. What Coach Richt and his entire staff have done so far is truly excellent, and will only continue to improve with increased quality and depth across the board. No need to jump off a cliff folks

playing w inferior talent 2018 is first elite class. Amazed we got what we did out of Oline and Rozier...and Langham. We had backups out there w barely functional talent....McDermott, Darling, Irvin, Langham..coaches squeeZed blood from turnip to have the season we had.
