Outcome of Florida game change your opinion..

How we look in a loss will matter most.

If a bunch of flukey **** happens to get us down a few scores and we are unable to claw back in the end a la Washington in 2000 it may not feel as devastating.

We have to see the physical superiority on display, the play calling on both sides of the ball needs to appear solid, and we need to avoid any HC buffoonery. Cam Ward and the offense needs to look more and more explosive and in rhythm as the games goes on and be driving to win or tie as time expires. Our defense can't just get shredded for 4 quarters and we need to see UF getting pushed around up front all day.

If all those boxes are checked, then it is possible to chalk it up to an any given Saturday thing and acknowledge that going on the road game 1 against a reasonably talented opponent (however flawed the reasoning for Florida to be considered equivalently talented to Miami) was a tall task and will not be a harbinger of death for the season.

That being said, we spotted A&M 10 and still kicked their ***. I don't think Trey Wilson is as good as Evan Stewart and the rest of UFs team isn't worth a tinker's dam IMO. I expect us to roll right through these lard *** G5 SEC wannabes and hammer the last green and orange nail into Slingblade Billy's coffin.

There was a lot of talk on the 5 hour Hurricade about how we used to lie to ourselves in years past and how Florida is clearly lying now.

I aint never seen lies told like I'm seeing about Trey Wilson. You would swear Percy is back the way I'm hearing about him. It don't take much internet use to see he aint Percy Harvin.

I completely disagree with Mike Ryan who thinks this game is "Most important game in programs history".

A knowledgeable sports talk guy i listen to said he thinks Miami is back, Mario has built the program up, and the result of this game doesnt effect his opinion either way. He thinks they lose they still

If you told me we’d lose to UF and an ACC team, finish at 10-2, then win the ACC and get into the playoffs…I would not be mad.

But let’s win them all.

His YAC must be crazy low. He had the same number of receptions as Pearsall and half the yards. Longest play was 30 yards.

I think the people on this message board board who said this game is not that important are incredibly wrong. This is Mario's third year and it's about time we win a meaningful game. I believe with an excellent head and a agressive OC we will 11 games. Unfortunately, we have neither so this game have tremendous meaning for the following reasons. It can show the rest of the Country we are headed in the the right direction and this team that must be taken seriously. There will a ton of recruits watching this game to formulate their intentions about signing with Miami. Mario must win this game and if not his ***** will be on the hot seat. With a win the momentum will swing heavily in our favor and a loss will be heatbreaking. The game will be a showcase on how Mario and staff are developing talent. I believe we definitely have a stronger roster than UF. We're playing one of the weak sisters in the SEC therefore other SEC coaches will have lot to talk about during recruiting season to prospects if we can't beat UF. Winning energizes this problem while losing looks abysmal. I hope we are very aggressive and Mario coaches to win big and Dawson suddenly becomes creative.
 
**** THAT!!! This team is far superior on paper. ALL of our strengths are their weaknesses, while none of their strengths are our weaknesses. Don’t spend years telling me the SEC ain’t **** but an ESPN created myth carried by Bama and UGA and then clutch your pearls when we face one of their bottom quarter team who have done very little to address their deficiencies.

TVD ain’t here, all the Manny cancer culture guys you all wanted gone are no longer here, the talent has been massively upgraded and the Kulture has been brought to “standard”. No more excuses!! WIN the ****EN GAME!!!!!
 
i asked this question once and got roasted hahaha
would you think the season is a successs if we won the ACC and made the playoffs
finished 12-2 ACC conf champs and first round playoff bye
but the two losses are to UF and FSU

I don’t know who Mike Ryan is, but if he thinks that this game is more important than the ‘83 NC game against Nebraska, he has his head up his ***. I know, I was there.

The odds of this team going undefeated and winning the ACC after losing to our 2 biggest rivals are slim to none. But more than that how do we reconcile losing 3 years in a row to “sorry *** Memphis Mike who can’t recruit HS, has an overrated transfer class that hasn’t done anything and sucks as a coach” while simultaneously losing to “cornball Billy who hasn’t even won 6 games yet, can’t recruit, has a disjointed staff, sucks at play calling and brought in an even worse transfer class than corn roll” by Mario Da GAWD!!

Also the legitimacy of UF as a team this season is on the line. They are gonna get their asses handed to them 6-8 times. If they knock us off it’s a feather in their cap in an otherwise ****** season. We can’t give them something to lean on when recruiting against us head to head.
