Of the team for season?

If Miami hasnt put it all together, little out of sorts first game tough environment loses game, are you jumping off bandwagon or you sticking around to see if they can still
Have a great season compete for ACC make playoff?

For me the outcome of this game has NO bearing on the teams season.

I completely disagree with Mike Ryan who thinks this game is "Most important game in programs history".

A knowledgeable sports talk guy i listen to said he thinks Miami is back, Mario has built the program up, and the result of this game doesnt effect his opinion either way. He thinks they lose they still
Go 10-2 play for ACC title, if they win probably go 11-1 play for
ACC title. Thats where Im at.

With that said lets stomp
Those turds.

The season is a season. It’s not one game. While I can’t even fathom how upset and disappointed I’ll be if somehow those cousin****ers win tomorrow, there are 11 more to play after that, no matter what.

So if I had a crystal ball and could look into the future and it told me that Miami would be 12-1 entering the playoffs, with a win in the ACCCG after running the table following a loss to the gator, you bet your *** I’d take that.

We’re not losing tomorrow, but there are 11 more to play regardless.

Quick history lesson for the younger fans:

The year was nineteen hundred and eighty-three. Miami played the gator in the opening game of the season. The gator won 28-3. Straight up whipped our ***.

We didn’t cancel the program after that, we played the rest of our games. Actually won them all, too. The last one was in the Orange bowl against “the best college team ever”, Nebraska. Won that one 31-30, won a natty, and had a ******* parade.

One game doesn’t make a season. But win tomorrow anyway.

I’ve never jumped back on bandwagon since GT and realizing Mario was a good recruiter but just stubborn & not very smart. I want to see consistent wins for a year or two first. My faith went to the wayside with the Canes and their awful coaches years ago. I’ll watch as a fan but it no longer will ruin my weekend.

What idiot said this game is the most important game in the program’s history? Sheesh. It’s the ninth most important game of 24. I’m still super excited we get to open with these clowns and looking forward to tomorrow but a non conference game with the now expanded playoff? Not make or break.

How we look in a loss will matter most.

If a bunch of flukey **** happens to get us down a few scores and we are unable to claw back in the end a la Washington in 2000 it may not feel as devastating.

We have to see the physical superiority on display, the play calling on both sides of the ball needs to appear solid, and we need to avoid any HC buffoonery. Cam Ward and the offense needs to look more and more explosive and in rhythm as the games goes on and be driving to win or tie as time expires. Our defense can't just get shredded for 4 quarters and we need to see UF getting pushed around up front all day.

If all those boxes are checked, then it is possible to chalk it up to an any given Saturday thing and acknowledge that going on the road game 1 against a reasonably talented opponent (however flawed the reasoning for Florida to be considered equivalently talented to Miami) was a tall task and will not be a harbinger of death for the season.

That being said, we spotted A&M 10 and still kicked their ***. I don't think Trey Wilson is as good as Evan Stewart and the rest of UFs team isn't worth a tinker's dam IMO. I expect us to roll right through these lard *** G5 SEC wannabes and hammer the last green and orange nail into Slingblade Billy's coffin.

37-13 Good guys

I’m more interested in the full scope of the season. Do we let one loss lead to multiple? Have we matured as a team? Do we end the season with good momentum heading into the CFP or do we fall apart missing the cfp…

I believe Miami is a better team than all on the schedule. Can they play at their best every week including week 1? Doubt it after two years of not seeing it.

I think I'll be more upset that I'll have to eat crow about all the **** talking I've done the last week.

As long as we look like the obviously more physical and "better" team but the football gods deem us unworthy of a win in the swamp a la some fluke plays that all go Florida's way, I think I'd be, still upset, but okay. If we come out, beat ourselves, **** the bed, and look like the same Miami we've seen for the last 20 years, somebody Baker Act me.

One thing I've noticed under Mario is that if something bad happens, we don't collapse. That's the hallmark of a well coached team.
Just watched the replay of last year's Texas A&M game and thought this exact thing. Multiple special teams mistakes and self inflicted wounds but the team never flinched. That's why I'm so confident this season. That mental fortitude mixed with all the talent on the team has got to translate into a **** of a season. I hope

A loss will ruin the season for me. Just think about watching ND vs T A&M if Miami loses? I will feel exactly how FSU fans feel after week zero. Miserable. Lose game one and this is what you hear. All are goals conf champs and playoffs are still in play. Possible but very doubtful. How many years in the past have we had to go through this? A must win for me.

Still and always will remember where I was that night!

Cam Ward coming out party. If hes as advertised. If he’s worth the money. If he’s worth the hype. This is the type of game he puts a stamp on. Don’t need him throwing all over the yard as I think we will be running a lot (as we should), but a couple elite throws, composure, and confidence will set the tone for me for the rest of the year.

Why entertain a scenario that won't happen? We absolutely fuccin' tomorrow. I said, "we fuccin'".

What kind of pu$$y a$$ post is this? If we lose tomorrow?!?!? Where the F is your faith and hopium? Are we getting off the bandwagon with a loss? WTF? I’ve been on this MF bandwagon for almost 50 years, through the good and the bad. I’m NEVER getting off. Ever.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? NO! We bombed those MFers into submission just like we will bomb those Fuggin gators tomorrow.

Stand tall. Stand proud. We are the mighty Fu¢cin MIAMI HURRICANES!!!!

The season is completely redeemable following an inexcusable loss tomorrow. However, no matter how great of a season we have after that, it will be tainted by the stench of a loss to the Lizard hanging over us. This is not Clemson or ATM or Wisconsin. This is the ******* gator.

Every chance we have to stomp on their lizard necks is a life-affirming moment in the cosmos.

Tomorrow will be a showcase of Canes domination.

This game is more important for the fan base than it is the team.

The fan base absolutely needs this. The team probably doesn't.
