Our Schedule

I watched everybody play..App St, Vt, Unc, Nd, etc. Were better then every single one of them. We are going to have a GREAT season. Not good..GREAT..

F it, I roll w you!

Why not us? Why this inferior complex? Does everyone realize that this is the first time a Mark Richt coached team has ever scored 70 points in a single game? Now, now, now...b4 you say "It was FAMU;" Richt coached a SEC battled tested team against the likes of Troy, Charleston Southern, Georgia Southern, etc. Yes, his team waxed those opponents, but not to the tune of 70-3 (and had Homer not fumbled and that missed FG, it would've been 80-3).

We need to stop living in the past. Fact, Miami fielded the worst offensive, defensive, and special team efficiency under Al Golden's 5 year tenure in the history of the program. Fact, Miami has produced the 7th most NFL draft picks in the last 10 years out of any school, and in the 2015 draft, produced the 5th most draft-able players in the 2015 draft by any school, and 2nd most by any school in the ACC conference and yet we went 6-7 w that team. Fact, Richt has the 3rd highest winning pct among active coaches and has won over 70% of his games against better competition we're facing now.

Golden destroyed our image, our brand, and our dignity. We're still recovering from it, so I get why there still pessimism around, but come on! We're comparing apples and grapes, here. Who should we be afraid of on our schedule? Golden almost beat Fisher, back to back. We just saw ND get torched by a corch and true freshman. GT needed heroics to beat an anemic offensive team in BC. VT scruggled against Liberty.

Yes teams get better throughout the season, but doesn't that mean we, too, will get better? Did you noticed how after halftime we hung 42 in one qrt? And again, I'll temperament that w "it's FAMU, but the adjustments that were made, were actually, wait for it...ADJUSTMENTS! When did we see that from Golden? ****, after halftime against FAU, they actually tied the game! So, no, I'm not putting much stock into what happened Saturday, but I'm all in on our new staff, new attitude, and renewed sense of urgency.

Richt took over a dismal UGA team, made them into a power, and they rewarded him by giving him the boot. You don't think he don't have a vested interest in having folks puttin' some respeck on his name?? Let's roll man, 10+ wins...book it.

Says we need to stop living in the past. Proceeds to rant for multiple paragraphs about the past.

I understand we played FAMU, but after watching these "good" teams yestersy there's no doubt in my mind were better than most, we would beat LSU, miss st, Tennessee, Florida, **** even Clemson and UNC weren't impressive. I truly believe were just as good as these top ranked teams

Don't forget, a lot of folks on here are concerned about Virginia, lol they lost to f'n Richmond

Sorry guys nevermind. Were gonna ****ing blow **** & lose to them all. Is that better? I never met "fans" like you losers in my life.

Yeah it's a bunch of loser fans on this site. Why be a fan if you have no faith in your team and think they suck so much.

Thank you Brock.
People acting like we are playing bama caliber teams or anything close to it every week to the point where they just write the team off completely in the game. It's sickening
Because people are being realistic Brock. We have serious problems with depth and our quality at Oline and safety doesn't seem up to par to beat everyone. It's possible but to doubt it isn't being less of a fan.

The super fan act on this site is terrible

We do have depth issues at certain spots but sh*t isn't going to be perfect. Sometimes you got to play the cards you are dealt with. It is what it is. We had depth issues during the golden years too on top of that terrible donofrio ,James coley, and passive al golden running the team. We have been playing with a hand virtually behind our back. They are lone gone from the program and we brought in a staff mixed with highly intelligent and sucessful coaches that have all coached at other big schools for the most part not temple coaches

This season I'm not conceding to anybody. I haven't been able to say that for years and years. Basic football clears its own path.

However, I'll point out that bookmakers and sportsbooks are absolutely giddy at the attitude displayed in the OP. Our sportsbook manager used to joke that he wished every fan could watch every game every week, because he'd overreact to everything and wager the following week on exact reruns of what he just saw.

That's the beauty of power ratings. They make slight to moderate sensible adjustments. The long term foundation is core.

Oh, and my guy, don't forget UNC's QB is the next coming of Tom Brady. Smh.

That's great but did you tell that to the 78 year old lady that was sitting next to you last night?

You're a fvckin fraud

You guys are all giddy after the FAMU scorcher and then talk trash about other teams that played actual opponents. It's same thing every year with all you real fans.

You guys have zero idea about the quality of this team after yesterday. That game told you absolutely zero but now everybody wants to use it as their guide without actually admitting it all the while predicting all these wins over teams that played other teams.

Of course, its the same **** every year. The same way team depth is disregarded so cavalierly and it ultimately bites the fanbase in *** by years end, they act surprised and blame the coaching staff for some unrelated issue

lulz. Less talk, more ACTUAL BETS, ******.

There's a difference between being optimistic, and going into full on homer mode. We all support the program here, some of us are a little more realistic when it comes to making judgments after week one, and after demolishing FAMU, arguably the worst team in the MEAC. Remember when VTech would have those scares against weak teams in Week 1, and then go on to run through the ACC? Nothing is certain in college football, and that's the story after week one. This year, what we know is that Nick Saban, and Alabama is the last team you want to see the first game of the season, because his staff has had the entire summer to gameplan, and it's going to be gnarly. LSU is still limited at QB, and Texas may finally have an offensive coordinator worth a ****. We know those things because those teams played legit competition.

Mark Richt himself stated that it's hard to really grade this team after the FAMU game. Miami should be a 10 win team, but to say that because of week one, expectations should be changed is insane.

The thing that has me very optimistic is that outside of maybe F$U there is no defense that scares me. (And even the Noles Defense is mostly just hype right now. We will see how they do soon enough.)

Richt is seeing the same things we are right now. He will be in the film room dissecting our opponents and his players just have to go out there and execute.

Defensively though we have a bunch of kids at LB and a lack of depth. So that should keep all of us in check. But we can still be very optimistic about our chances.

Hey Sapingo it's college football, we are hurricane fans, this is a hurricane message board. If we can't be excited after a win and talk trash about rivals what the **** is the point.

I'm just glad it looked like a Canes v Famu game is supposed to. Not that 41-7 35 -13 stuff we've seen through the golden era.

We played a great game but we played FAMU that was 1-10 last year. I am more than worried about losing another LB this week.

Of course you can't judge teams by one game. But in the case of FAU and App State, this is what we've got.
